Tina Fey, Amy Poehler to Return as Golden Globe Hosts 01.12.2020 Just after Ricky Gervais completed his fifth tour as Golden Globes host to mixed reviews on Jan. 5, NBC said Globes darlings Tina Fey and Amy Poehler would take their fourth turn at the podium in 2021 at Winter TCA in Pasadena, Calif., on Saturday. The good friends, who starred together on Saturday Night Live when Fey was head writer, previously hosted the Golden Globes from 2013-15. The 2021 date for the show, held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly HIlls, has not yet been set. "NBC has long been the home to two of the funniest people on the planet - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler - and we didn't want to wait any longer to share the great news that they'll be hosting the Globes once again," said Paul Telegdy, chairman, NBC Entertainment, in a statement. "There's no denying that Tina and Amy's comedic chemistry is infectious," said Lorenzo Soria, President of the HFPA, also in a statement. "We can't wait to see the dynamic duo return to the Golden Globes stage." Fey and her producing partner Robert Carlock are coming out with a new comedy on NBC starring The Good Place's Ted Danson and Succession's Holly Hunter. Poehler, who starred as the indefatigible Leslie Knope on NBC's Parks and Recreation, is an executive producer of Netflix's Russian Doll, executive producer and co-host of NBC's crafting reality series Making It and executive producer and co-star of Fox's upcoming animated series, Duncanville. Telegdy also assured the room on Saturday that long-running daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives was on track to be renewed for a 56th season, after fans became alarmed in late 2019 when news broke that the entire cast had been released from their contracts. In other NBC TCA news, the network gave hospital drama New Amsterdam a three-season renewal. It's also in development with Dwayne Johnson on comedy Young Rock, which will star the former professional wrestler..
