Page 11 ~MAKE AN APPOINTMENT~ ______

With frequency in which I and the other Business Representatives are out of the office, it would be advantageous for any member with issues of representation to make an appointment so we can be sure to be at the Union Hall when the need arises. If the nature of your business is to pay dues no appointment necessary.

This is to merely ensure that our members are receiving the best representation that we can possibly give.

Regarding paying dues online. If you are having problems with www.paydues.io it is advised to please delete all cache, cookies and history, then re-try. You can also try to re-register using your IA Number as well.

If paying dues in person at the Union Hall, we are currently open Tuesday and Thursdays until further notice. Office hours are as follows: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm closed daily from 11:00 to 12:00 pm for lunch. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays we are working remotely until further notice due to Covid-19. You can call our office to pay dues over the phone every day during normal business hours.

Lastly, please make sure all your personal information is updated with the Union Hall such as address, phone numbers, email addresses and beneficiary information. This is VERY IMPORTANT especially during the times we are in!

Page 13 Page 14 ~Union Meetings via “Zoom Online” ______

Due to the Pandemic all members that we have an updated email address on have been invited to attend Union Meetings via online “Zoom Meeting”. We are hoping to soon return to normalcy with of course restrictions, which includes “Wearing Masks” and “Social Distancing”. In the event, however we must revert to haveing meetings via “Zoom” here are the instructions on attending online. For those members that we do not have an email for I strongly encourage you to please update the Union and the Apprenticeship office if you have one.

É To join Union Meetings via “Zoom” you must have an email address. If you have not provided the Local Union with one, I would encourage you to do so, so you can be sent an invite. É Download the “Free Zoom App” on the device of your choice. É After you have downloaded the app you will go to your email where you will find the “Zoom invite to the Union meeting” and click on the link provided on the date and time of the meeting. É Your user name will have to be recognized so if you do it from your phone and we can’t see you, you will have to change your user name to reflect who you are so we can verify all members in good standing and members that are not. É You will be in a virtual waiting room until verification is made at which point you will be let into the meeting. É You will be on mute automatically when you enter the meeting. We ask that you keep mute on to limit background noise. É When a question arises, there is a virtual “raise your hand” button, press the button and you will be able to unmute yourself to ask said question. É When motions are made, they will be voted on by means of the “polling” option at which point you will be asked to vote yes or no on the motion.

Lastly for those members that do not have an email, I would strongly encourage you to please update your address as we receive ALOT of returned mail that can become costly to the Local.

Your patienc e in this proc es s will not only be apprec iated but EXTREMELY nec es s ary as we all navigate thru this together and all sc heduled meetings and events are subjec t to c hange!

Fraternally,

Jeff Holly
