New Pedestrian Subway and Entrance at MTR Station To Enhance Connectivity

The brand new Subway and Entrance/Exit D at MTR opened today (22 December 2017). Connected to the basement of Lee Tung Avenue, the new pedestrian walkway and entrance provide convenient and weather-proof access for members of the public to cross beneath . The new facilities also help to enhance the connectivity for pedestrians between Wan Chai North and Wan Chai South.

Officiating at today’s opening ceremony were (from left) Mr Winson Tse, Operations Manager - Island Line, South Island Line & Tseung Kwan O Line of MTR Corporation; Ms Kenny Lee, Chairman of the Development, Planning & Transport Committee of Council; Dr Jennifer Chow, Vice-Chairman of Wan Chai District Council; Mr Stephen Ng, Chairman of Wan Chai District Council; Mr Rick Chan, District Officer (Wan Chai); Ms Peggy Lee, Wan Chai District Councillor; and Mr William Chan, Centre General Manager of Lee Tung Avenue Management Company Limited.
