Amateur Owner Rider (AOR)- Official Competitive Classes Rosettes will be awarded 1st to 3rd for Official Competitive classes,

1. The rider must be a Competitive member of EA. Horse must have a life registration with EA and a Dressage License, in the AOR name. Leased horse are only permitted if the registration papers reflect the lessee as the “owner” 2. To qualify as an AOR the rider must not have competed in an FEI Sanctioned CDI or CDI-W in the prior 3 years. 3. An AOR must not have sponsorship, or remuneration ( excluding prize money) above the value of $500/annum for any services connected with the breaking, training and riding of any horse or pony in the last 3 years. 4. An amateur owner rider’s principle source of income is not obtained from sponsorship, breaking, training, riding or coaching any horse or rider. 5. The horse/pony must be primarily ridden and trained by the rider/owner with only periodic ridden assistance by person(s) other than the owner. Specifically the horse/pony must not have been ridden or trained by anyone, other than the owner, from the closing date of entries to the day of the event, for any event in which the rider wishes to compete as an amateur owner rider. 6. Situated 25 minutes north of Young and 35 minutes south of , on the Olympic Way, the Bendick Murrell Sportsground is a quiet, picturesque setting, with plenty of shade and parking.

The Young Dressage Association has purposely developed the grounds for dressage. There are six sand arena’s complete with sand tracks around each, a large sand warmup arena, large parking area, plenty of shade, wash bays, lunging areas, a dedicated spectators area, permanent large yards and stables, and camping facilities.

 Travelling times (towing): Approximately 2 hours from Canberra, Wagga, or Orange and 4 hours from Richmond (via Bathurst).  Donges Supa IGA is located at 159 Boorowa Street in Young and open for all your grocery supplies. Parking access from Lovell Street or Donges will deliver to the grounds. Phone 6382 2443  Stables: 16 permanent rubber lined stables are available on site, and Southern Cross Stables will also be available for booking. Pre bookings are essential and can be made when you enter on nominate.com.au. Stables are $75 per day (6pm-6pm), or $200 for the event. A pile of wood shavings will be available for all competitors; additional bedding if required is the responsibility of competitors. Other types of bedding are allowed, please bring your own.  Yards: A large number of permanent safe and secure rubber lined 4m x 4m steel yards, are available. Pre- bookings are essential and can be made when you enter on nominate.com.au. Yards are $35 per day (6pm-6pm), or $90 for the event. A pile of wood shavings will be available for all competitors; additional bedding if required is the responsibility of competitors. Other types of bedding are allowed, please bring your own. In accordance with EA rules, electric fence yards are not permitted.  Stables & Yards Cleaning fee $75, will be charged to any stable left uncleaned. All bedding/manure and hay must be removed from the stables & Yards.  Young regions’ Stock Feed & Bedding Suppliers; will deliver to the grounds if ordered prior to the event.  Camping/Shower facilities: Showers are available. There are no powered sites on the grounds however you are permitted to bring your own generator/power source. Generators MUST be switched off during the day if you are parked within 50m of warmup or competition arena. Please park further away from horse area if you need to run your generator all day.  Catering will be available for the weekend at the grounds. Provided by Juicy Lucy Café Young. www.youngdressage.com Entries Close: 22nd March Donges Supa IGA 2016 Young Dressage Association CHAMPIONSHIPS Young Dressage Association Inc Events – Conditions of Entry 2016 Events will be held in accordance with current EFA Dressage Rules as amended except where FEI Rules apply. The YDA Inc committee may grant exemptions to the rules for special promotional competitions. The onus is on competitors to know the rules. The conditions below are relevant for competitions held by YDA Inc. 1. Official Competitive & Closed unrestricted competitions: Refer current 2016 EA National Dressage Rule Book. 2. Preparatory Tests – open to horses who haven’t won more than 3 preparatory tests, or who haven’t placed at Novice level or above. 3. Rider Limited Preliminary Class- ONLY open to rider and/or horse combination who have never competed at Elementary level or above or who have won Rider limited class previously more than once. 4. Breed Limited Novice Class. For breeds of horses/ponies other than warmblood or, warmblood cross. 5. Horses/ponies: All competitions (unless otherwise stated) are open to horses or ponies. Please indicate on the entry form if your horse is a pony. Official classes only will be judged separately. 6. Height of horses and ponies: Refer current 2015 EA Dressage Rules. 7. Any changes to entry after entry on nominate will be a $20 fee. For Bridle Numbers/classes/yards/stables/PIC Number/EA Numbers etc 8. Stallions; Horse/ Float/yard/stable display green Stallion Identification Discs are to be shown at all times. Stallions are to be handled as in EA guidelines 9. SOME classes will be limited to a set number by the organising committee – In the event of oversubscription there will be a short RESERVE list. Horses will be accepted in order of receipt of entry (provided with ALL EA/Rider/Horse details). You will be given the option to transfer to another competition if you are on the reserve list. If you are on the reserve list and insufficient cancellations of the class 50% refund will be offered, 2 weeks prior to championships. 10. Riders may be changed before the start of competition; however, a rider of a horse may not be changed if another rider has ridden the horse at the event venue, either in warm-up or in a competition. Draw position cannot be changed without the permission of the Organising Committee. One rider per horse for the whole event (ie: over the three days). 11. A competitor may not alter or add a substitute horse or pony, after the close of entries. 12. No more than 3 tests per horse can be ridden on one day and no more than 2 consecutive levels. No more than 2 horses entered per class per rider, unless prior approval of YDA committee. Maximum of 6 tests over the duration of the championships per horse/pony. 13. Horses cannot compete below their graded level unless they compete NC/HC (non competitively) 14. Hors Concours (Non competitive): Riders wishing to ride HC/NC must declare their intention in writing before the start of the competition (test). 15. Bridle & EA numbers must be submitted on entry form. Bridle numbers (2) are compulsory in all tests, one on either side of the horse, they must be clearly displayed so that the judge can identify the rider when riding in front of the judge’s vehicle. Horses are not required to stop at the judge’s car, however- rider must ensure that judge has seen and acknowledged them. 16. Scratchings will be processed in full (except admin fee) up to the closing date 22nd March. Scratchings after entries close will receive a maximum of 50% refund with presentation of Vet/Doctor Certificates are to be provided within 24hrs, Refunds as per EA rules. Refunds for stables or yards will only offered if 2 weeks prior to the event. The compulsory Admin fee is non refundable. 17. Lights; any lights used in the stable/yard area are to be turned off between 10pm till 5am. Failure to comply may result in elimination. 18. DNAs please show the courtesy of scratching before the day if you are unable to attend the event to allow competitors on the reserves list the opportunity to compete. 19. Callers are allowed 20. Random swabbing may take place. If approached by Official Steward / Vet Officer of the day, competitors must allow samples to be taken from their horse for drug tests. 21. Amateur Owner Rider; need to be nominated at time of entry, and prior to entries close. AOR entry conditions as EA rules. 22. EA Registration and performance cards must be available on the day of competition (official events). No refunds for incomplete paperwork or registrations. 23. Entries will only be accepted on NOMINATE.COM.AU payment via Credit Card or other methods with consultation with YDA & Nominate. 24. Gear Check – all competitors must present to the Gear Steward. Failure to do so may incur elimination. 25. Warm-up please use designated warm-up areas, be aware of group riding rules, look where you are going, keep at least 10m from competition arenas. Warm-up arena is only to be used by those directly warming up for competition. Those working horses, and not competing directly please use the grassed/sand areas behind arena 3/4/5/6. 26. Conditions for Riding Attire & Hats. As per 2016 EA Rules or special conditions as covered in the competition schedule. Riders under 18 years and riders of horses under 7 year of age MUST wear an approved safety helmet with the retaining harness secured and fastened in ALL EA competitions, regardless of the level or venue. Riders training other than warming up for a test must wear an approved safety helmet at all times. 27. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Dogs, children, prams etc are not allowed in the competition area AT ANY TIME. 28. Stabling: Stables and yards must be pre booked and paid for when entering on Nominate. All bookings to be paid by close of entries. Allocated at the discretion of the Organising Committee 29. No temporary yards/fences made predominately of electrical fencing/rope or similar material is to be used to construct yards. 30. Camping is available at this event please contact the event organiser for information. 31. Video Cameras and equipment must be kept at least 10 metres from the arena and, preferably at C or A end of arena. 32. All competitors must abide by current regulations as set down by the NSW DPI in respect to traveling and horse events. All competitors are to provide Property Identification Codes when entering. 33. Only horses that are entered for a competition are permitted on the grounds during the event. 34. PRIZE MONEY – Total advertised prize money may not be awarded if there are LESS THAN 6 competitors in each class. 35.
