We serve our members by setting association compliance standards, developing communication resources, providing regional/national championship competitions, and partnering in outreach to our communities and the world. We are committed to equipping student-athletes and coaches to make a positive impact for Christ. Academics • Athletics • Outreach The NCCAA was founded in 1966 and incorporated in 1968 to promote intercollegiate athletic competition with a Christian perspective. Today, more than 15,000 student-athletes and 800 coaches participate annually in 24 national championships as well as 1 invitational, in both men’s and women’s sports. The NCCAA also promotes international and intercultural competitions that emphasize ministry and outreach to those who may never have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Christ-centered member colleges and universities of the NCCAA are recognized by businesses worldwide for providing a quality education and spiritual enrichment on a daily basis. These institutions are committed to creating an environment that emphasizes biblical and spiritual principles as part of the teaching and learning process. The NCCAA expects academic excellence and encourages discipleship training for our student-athletes and coaches through development programs, materials and conferences on key issues. The NCCAA believes one of our greatest opportunities for outreach is on the field of competition where ability and attitudes are tested. We believe a sport is much more than just a game. Sports provide a unique opportunity to both serve and worship the Lord Jesus Christ, whether in wins or in losses. Athletes will not always win on the playing field, but they can be winners in the most important game: leading a Christian life.
