District-Wide Wood/Charcoal Fire Prohibition
Due to dry conditions, increasing fire dangers, and poor air quality, a finding of extreme firehazard has been made as specified below. For the protection of park resources and public safetythe following restrictions are hereby enacted:
Wood/Charcoal fires are prohibited in the following Park Units
• Grover Hot Springs State Park • Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve • Burton Creek State Park • DL Bliss State Park • Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park • Emerald Bay State Park • Donner Memorial State Park • Plumas-Eureka State Park • Tahoe State Recreation Area • Washoe Meadows State Historic Park • Empire Mine State Park • South Yuba River State Park • MalakoffDiggins State Historic Park
This order is in effect until further notice.
Requests for exceptions to this order may only be granted in writing by contacting the District Superintendent, Sierra Distiict at PO Box 266, Tahoma, CA 96142. Nothing herein shall be construed in derogation of other provisions of law, existing contracts or property rights previously granted.
