FOOD FESTIVAL 2020

An aroma spreads across the grounds of the Vidyalaya as the summer air carries with it a hint of the feast that awaits us all. It’s that time of the year again when faces brighten up upon seeing familiar and new dishes prepared so lovingly by the parents.

The Food Festival is here, bringing with it traditional foods from across the country and beyond, at a time when unhealthy fast food has infiltrated our lives. On this day, the sound of clinking coins and enthusiastic slogans echo in the Vidyalaya. Students walk around, overwhelmed by the riot of flavours on their tongues and fulfilled smiles on their faces. Smells – fresh and sweet, voices – loud and excited create a precious memory. WHAT IS THE SPIRIT OF THE FOOD FESTIVAL ? ● In keeping with the tradition of converting every natural product into a delicacy, we would like to invite all the parents to experiment and think beyond. ● The food festival is all about making food more special as you pour in your love in every morsel. ● Parents come out of their comfort zones to search, learn and recreate many of the lost dishes. ● Moving from the common artificial flavours readily available in the markets, parents hand cook and present everything in an eco-friendly manner. ● The vibrance, joy and simplicity of the food stalls decorated with household items show the true Patelian spirit. ● Apart from the delicious recipes unity is the strength of the festival. The joint effort of the Parents is truly cherished.
