-Bibliography of Publications Concerning Southeast Asian Prehistory Received 14 December 1977

WILHELM G. SOLHEIM II AND BARBARA JENSEN

T HAS NOT been a simple task to bring together what we hope is a relatively complete bibliography of Tom Harrisson's publications on Southeast Asian I prehistory. He never kept track of his own publications (B. Harrisson 1977: 41, n. 2) and to our knowledge, no one else attempted to do so either. The great majority of his articles appeared in Museum Journal, the Journal of the Malaysian Branch, Royal Asiatic Society, and Asian Perspectives. Goingthrough the back issues of these journals from 1949 makes a good start. We have not attempted to stick strictly to publication on archaeology or prehistory but have included a few papers marginal to this focus, such as papers on writing and zoological papers having to do with the Niah caves. We complete this bibliography with articles about Tom which have appeared in recent issues of journals having to do particularly with Malaysian Borneo. Without question we have missed some papers. The Editor would appreciate it if anyone knowing of papers which should have been included in the bibliography would send him a complete reference to the paper, and if feasible a copy of it. A few of the papers here included we were unable to locate for verification. These have been marked with an asterisk.
