(Slalom & Canoe polo) • A venue for Life saving training & community education • Swiftwater rescue training and potentially national Fire & Police games • Positive Progress on site with soft opening planned for 4th November 2013 • Construction has been challenging on a difficult Brownfield site • Board are in place and centre manager appointed • Users are booking up to use the facility as a base • Fire & Rescue are taking space • Commonwealth Legacy Status confirmed • 14 Youth clubs have been trained over the summer ready to use the centre • Olympic medallists (Florence and Bailey )are major supporters and ambassadors • Taster sessions to build interest in the sport. • Scottish Talent is staying in Scotland! Pinkston Paddlesports is now a registered Charity The Board of Trustees are jointly responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, and financial health, probity of its activities, developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines. All trustees are aware of, and understand, their individual and collective responsibilities.
