PERFECT LEAD: The Wine & Gold went undefeated when they led after three quarters at 39-0 (1.000), the only NBA team with a perfect record in such instances this past season. They also became the first team since 1954-55 to go undefeated in a single season when leading after three periods of play. The previous best percentage after leading through three quarters since that time was .985 (64-1) by the Chicago Bulls in 1995-96. (STATS, Inc.)

DOMINANT STRETCH: From Nov. 11 to Dec. 17, the Cavs went 18-1, which included 13 consecutive wins (11/11-12-6) during that span, tying the longest win streak in franchise history (13 twice, 3/7/09-3/31/09 and 1/16/10-2/11/10). Cleveland also picked up a franchise-record tying 7 straight road wins from Nov. 11-Dec. 4.

FROM DEEP: Cleveland connected on at least 10 three-pointers on 64 occasions, the 2nd-most such games in franchise single season history (65 in 2016-17). In addition to ranking 6th in the league in three-point percentage as a team, the Wine & Gold had three players rank among the league leaders in 3FG%: Kyle Korver (.436, 6th), Kevin Love (.415, 19th) and George Hill (.415, 20th).

• NAILING THEM: Cleveland averaged 12.0 three-pointers (3rd in NBA) and shot .372 from long distance (6th in CAVS MOST CONSECUTIVE GAMES NBA). WITH 10+ THREE-POINTERS • RAINING THREES: The Cavs made 10 threes or more in 26 straight games from Nov. 9-Jan. 2. Their 26-game (SINGLE SEASON) streak is a team record for consecutive games with 10 or more threes (prev. 16 twice, 10/25/16-11/29/16 and YEAR GAMES 10+ 3FGM STREAK/DATE 3/9/16-4/5/16) and is tied for the 3rd-longest streak in NBA history (Boston, 26 straight from 1/21/2017- 3/15/2017). Only Houston has recorded longer stretches of consecutive games with 10 or more threes (55 2017-18 26 (11/9/17-1/2/18) straight from 10/25/2017-2/25/18 and 27 straight from 10/28/2016-12/17/2016). 2016-17 16 (10/25/16-11/29/16) 2015-16 16 (3/9/16-4/5/16)

THAT’S LOVE-LY: Despite missing 23 games this past season, Kevin Love had 31 double-doubles, which was tied for 15th-most in the NBA. He earned his 5th NBA All-Star selection in 2017-18 and finished the season averaging 17.6 points and a team-high 9.3 rebounds (12th in NBA) in 28.0 minutes. He shot a career-high .880 from the foul line (12th in NBA) and was the only NBA player in 2017-18 to average at least 9.0 rebounds while making at least 125 threes. After knocking down his 1,000th career three-pointer in a win over Toronto on March 21, Love became the only player in NBA history to have a career average at least 10.0 rebounds and make 1,000 threes or more.

HUGE COMEBACK IN THE BIG APPLE: In Cleveland’s 104-101 come-from-behind victory at New York on Nov. 13, 2017, the Cavs overcame a 23-point deficit (73-50) late in the third quarter, outscoring the Knicks 54-28 the rest of the way. The last time the Cavs overcame a deficit of at least 23 points was Nov. 11, 2006 vs. Boston (trailed by 25 PTS and won 94-93). The Knicks had won 103 consecutive home games when leading by 20 or more points in the second half prior to that night. (Elias)

5TH NBA FINALS APPEARANCE: The Wine & Gold advanced to the NBA Finals for the 4th consecutive season and 5th overall (2007, 2015- 2018). The Cavaliers clinched their Finals appearance after defeating the Boston Celtics 4-3 in the 2018 ECF and joined the Celtics (1957-1966, 1984- 1987), Los Angeles Lakers (1982-1985), (2011-2014) and Golden State Warriors (2015-2018) as the only franchises to make four straight NBA Finals. It was also the fourth year in a row that Cleveland and Golden State squared off in The Finals, which is the most consecutive meetings in a championship round among all the major pro sports (NHL: 3 straight between Canadiens/Red Wings from 1954-56; NFL: 3 straight between Lions/Browns from 1952-54; MLB: 3 straight between Giants/Yankees from 1921-23).

0-2 COMEBACK: In the 2018 ECF, Cleveland overcame an 0-2 deficit for the 3rd time in franchise playoff history (2007 ECF vs. DET, 2016 Finals vs. GSW). Boston had never lost a series when leading 2-0 prior to their defeat (37-0).

SEMIS VS. TORONTO: The Wine & Gold advanced to the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals for the 4th straight season and 8th time in franchise history (1976, 1992, 2007, 2009, 2015, 2016, 2017) after sweeping the No. 1 seed Toronto Raptors, 4-0, in the Semifinals. Only one team in NBA history has swept a best-of-seven postseason series against the same opponent in back-to-back years: Cleveland swept Atlanta in the 2015 and 2016 playoffs. The Cavaliers also became the first team in NBA postseason history to sweep a No. 1 seed in a playoff series prior to the Conference Finals, since the NBA switched to its 16-team postseason format. The Cavaliers have now defeated a No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference three times in the last four years (4-0 vs. ATL 2015, 4-1 vs. BOS 2017). (Elias Sports Bureau)

SECOND-MOST SWEEPS: The Cavs’ 4-0 sweep of the Raptors was their 10th best-of-7 series sweep all-time, which is the second most only to the Lakers’ 13. In the sweep, the Cavs averaged 118.5 points (.516 FG%, .411 3FG%) and 24.3 assists (8.0 turnovers). Cleveland tied their franchise record for field goal percentage in a playoff game twice in that series (.595 in Games 2 and 4) and had 6 players average double figures in scoring: LeBron James (34.0), Kevin Love (20.5), Kyle Korver (14.5), J.R. Smith (12.5), Jeff Green (12.3) and George Hill (10.3). (STATS, Inc.)

FIRST ROUND VS. INDY: Cleveland won their 2018 First Round series against Indiana 4-3 to advance to the Semifinals for the 12th time in franchise history. The Cavs also overcame a 2-1 series deficit for the 5th time in their team playoff history (Won 4-3 in 1992 Semifinals vs. BOS, 4-2 in 2007 ECF vs. DET, 4-2 in 2015 Semifinals vs. CHI, 4-3 in 2016 Finals vs. GSW, 4-3 in 2018 First Round vs. IND).

GETTING IT DONE IN GAME 7: After a 105-101 win in Game 7 over Indiana in the First Round and an 87-79 victory in Game 7 at Boston in the ECF, the Cavs improved to 5-2 all time in Game 7s (3-0 at home, 1-0 at The Q).

CAVS LONGEST HOME STREAKING: From Game 2 of their First Round series against Indiana HOME WIN STREAKS IN PLAYOFF HISTORY (4/18/18) to Game 6 of the ECF against Boston (5/25/18), the Cavaliers won 8 straight Date HOME WIN STREAK games at The Q, tying their longest home win streak in franchise playoff history.
