(Coach mobile number: 07895 152449) Liscard 8.30am, Heswall 9.00am A Walk rucksacks on coach please Starting in (770674) we climb through woods then continue to Coed ty reservoir and on to Moel Eilio. A rough, pathless ridge is followed south west to from where we climb to Pen y Graig Gron and descend through forest to . A climb through forest is followed by the rough ridge of Mynydd Deulyn and descent to . Trefriw is reached by crossing Grinllwm and descent through forest. Distance: 19.5kms (12miles) Points: 19 Ascent: 1100m (3500ft)

B Plus Walk From Trefriw we ascend SW steeply to Bron Edda and then Penrallt. We visit (quickly) a 12th century church en route for Tal-y-llyn. Then it is W to Maes Mawr and along the NW bank of Llyn Crainant. We go round to Llyn Geirionydd visiting a perfectly preserved mine shaft. Then it’s back to Trefriw passing near to the Klondyke Mill and aerial tramway. Distance: 17kms (10.5miles) Points: 14.5 Ascent: 620m (2050ft)

B Minus Walk Starting from Trefriw, we take the path by the Fairy Falls and then head W, then SW to Taliesin’s Monument at the head of Llyn Geirionydd. A path to the N. of Mynydd Deulyn takes us to the NW shore of Llyn Crafnant, which we follow to Hendre. Passing Maes Mawr and Cornel, a path going SW through the forest takes us back over to Llyn Geirionydd. We take the NW shore path and return to Trefriw via the 6th century church at . Distance: 13.5kms (8.5miles) Points: 12.5 Ascent: 615m (2000ft)

C Walk From CP in the village take a woodland path to foot of Llyn Geirionydd. Follow path to head of lake then woodland path NW to Llyn Crafnant. Follow road to Picnic area via Cynllwyd. Return to Llyn Geirionydd via woodland path to monument then return to Trefriw via woodland path. Distance: 11.2kms (7miles) Points: 10 Ascent: 457m (1500ft)

D Walk Leaving the village we go to view the fairy falls then climb up to the ridge above the Crafnant valley which we follow to the tip of Llyn Geirionydd following the minor road on the west side to the picnic site for lunch. We then follow the lake round as far as we can, about turn and return on the same path. We can get round most of the lake but there is a nasty scramble 3\4 of the way round hence the about turn. The views and colours on the recce were magnificent. The ascents will be slow. Distance: 8.8kms ( 5.5miles) Points: 7 Ascent: 213m (700ft) Please do not walk ahead of your leader.
