FOR PARENTS: CLASS OF 2020: Graduation Announcements will be delivered at school on Wednesday, March 4. Jostens will be ​ ​ ​ at school for a ONE DAY ONLY delivery event from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in the hallway outside of the Main Office. In order to pick up your announcements, your balance must be paid in full. If you haven't done so already, you may pay your balance due online or at delivery on Wednesday March 4. Feel free to contact our Jostens representative with any questions at 303-985-0095.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – We invite all parents to attend Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences this ​ week on Thursday, March 5, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Six-week grades-in-progress are now available on Infinite ​ ​ Campus, and parents are encouraged to bring copies of their students’ grades to conferences. Conferences are held in the Main Gym. Teachers will be arranged alphabetically with their names posted on their tables. Special Education teachers will be located in their offices on the first floor. Counselors will be available in their offices and administrators will be circulating in order to assist parents.

TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANCE AT CONFERENCES: Technology assistance will be available in the Main Gym during ​ conferences on March 5 for any parents who need assistance with Chromebooks or the Infinite Campus Parent Portal – either setting up new accounts or resetting passwords for existing accounts.

PAYING SCHOOL FEES/FINES AT CONFERENCES: The bookkeeper will be also available in the Main Office ​ during conferences – from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5. Please take a minute and make sure your student is current with all school fees.

SCHOMP HONDA HONORS EDUCATORS WITH THE 2020 TEACHER OF THE YEAR: One exceptional south ​ metro-area teacher will win the use of a new 2020 Honda Passport Sport for three years in the Schomp Honda Teacher of the Year Award program. The Passport comes with complimentary maintenance and a $5,000 donation to the program of their choice. Most significantly, the winner will have the privilege of being known as “Teacher of the Year.” The Teacher of the Year Award winner will be chosen from teachers nominated by their peers, parents, students and community members. Finalists will be chosen by a select committee that includes educational experts, community members and Schomp Honda representatives. The nomination period starts now and runs through early April. YOUTH ART MONTH: Youth Art Month links over 800,000 K- 12 students and over 200 art educators across ​ America. The Curtis Center for the Arts, located at 2349 East Orchard Road, is exhibiting the works of creative youth in our community February 29- March 28, from 8:30 to 4 pm (M-F) and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays. The reception for Littleton School District will be held on Wednesday, March 11, from 5 to 7 pm. FIRST DAY OF SPRING SPORTS: The first day of Spring Sports is Monday, March 2. If you wish to participate ​ in a spring sport you must go to www.heritageagles.com and click “Athletic Registration” at the top to complete the ​ ​ ​ online registration. Once you have completed the online registration and turned in a current physical to the Athletic Office, you will receive an Athletic Clearance Card that must be given to your coach before you will be allowed to participate on March 2.

ZAPS TEST PREP: The test prep will be March 4 and 5 from 3:45-6:15pm in the Third Floor Lecture Hall. In this ​ ​ ​ five-hour SAT seminar, students will learn tips to improve scores in all subtests, practice strategies to eliminate wrong choices, take short practice tests that mirror the real test experience, and receive extensive materials for home practice. GIRLS CONFERENCE: The is hosting the 4th Annual Shine Girls Conference on Friday, March ​ 13, at the First Church. The Conference is a day of empowerment and education for young women. This year, Glennon Doyle will be the keynote speaker. If you are interested in having your daughter attend this event, please see Mrs. Schrader in the Activities office to get signed up. MURAL DESIGNS: We are looking for mural designs for Staircase D on the second floor landing. Anyone ​ attending Heritage can submit a design, and the design can be anything that relates to Heritage. When making your design keep in mind "Pride, Character, and Excellence," "Earn Your Wings," and places and traditions related to Heritage. Submit your designs on the Google Form located on Ms. Brethauer’s website. The submissions must be in ​ ​ by 4pm on Friday, March 13, and multiple submissions are allowed. Submissions must be in color and can be in any format the student would like (ie: painted, drawn, electronic, etc.). Email Ms. Brethauer ([email protected]) ​ ​ with any questions.

AUDITIONS: Auditions for "A Night of One Acts" will be held March 18 and 19 after school in the Theatre! Sign ​ up for an audition slot on the Theatre board. You do not need to prepare anything, just show up and be ready to read a short cutting from one of our student directed One Acts! One Acts will be performed April 23-25. See Mrs. Willers with any questions.

LINK: LINK is looking for leaders for next school year. If you are a current 10th or 11th grader who is kind, ​ helpful, willing to take risks, have an interest in helping others, and like to have fun, LINK might just be for you! What do LINK Leaders do? ● They are trained to work with the incoming freshman class and other new students who are entering Heritage next fall. ● They act as friends, mentors, and resources for freshmen to acclimate them to HHS and help them feel at home. ● They run freshmen orientation before school starts in August. ● They meet with their freshmen groups each week during Friday Advisories to connect and make plans for social events. BITS AND BYTES CLUB: Do you want to learn to code? Come to Bits and Bytes Club in room 1317 on Tuesdays ​ from 3:30 to 4:30pm. We are coding an app to track carbon emissions. No experience is necessary.
