THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after the consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, the effect of which will be: - 1. To formalise the mandatory School Keep Clear markings on parts of Bosworth Road, Measham. 2. To formalise the mandatory School Keep Clear markings on parts of Occupation Road, Albert Village. A copy of the proposed Order, together with the plans illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the council’s reasons for proposing the Order may be viewed during normal office hours at Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester, LE3 8RA and at North West Leicestershire District Council, Council Offices, Whitwick Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 3FJ. Documents can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and- travel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations from 14th February 2020. Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 6th March 2020, quoting reference ND/HTWMT/4601. PROPOSED MANDATORY SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR MARKINGS

STATEMENT OF REASONS

Leicestershire County Council are proposing to formalise the school keep clear markings at the schools listed below by making them mandatory the restriction will apply Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Saint Charles RC Primary School – Bosworth Road, Measham Albert Village Primary School – Occupation Road, Albert Village

The school keep clear road marking is intended to highlight the key areas that should be kept clear for the safety of school children. The Leicestershire County Council (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) as amended, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act hereby makes the following Order:-

1. This Order shall come into operation on and may be cited as “The Leicestershire County Council (The District of North West Leicestershire) Consolidation Order 2017 (Bosworth Road, Measham and Occupation Road, Albert Village) (Amendment 25) Order 202”.

2. The "Leicestershire County Council (North West Leicestershire District) Consolidation Order 2017" is hereby amended by the plan(s) specified in the First Schedule to this Order and with the inclusion of the plan(s) specified in the Second Schedule, attached hereto.
