Tom was born on May 27, 1946, to Wallace and Edna (Larson) Lentz. He attended elementary school at District 14 in Milford Township and gradu- ated from New Ulm High School in 1964. He was married to Kath- rryn Ballard in Nov. 1965, aand they farmed in Milford TTownship for over 25 years. IIn 1986, Tom and Kathy eembarked on separate ppaths before remarrying in AAugust 1989. After selling tthe farm, Tom became an oover the road truck driver aand shared many adven- ttures on the open road wwith friend and trucking ccolleague Eric Hjelter bbefore retiring in 2008. Representatives from First Bank and Trust present the Cambridge Veteran’s Memorial Park Committee a check for $2,500, which is being used to pay for the fl ag poles that have already been erected. The park, located at 207 Birch Street South, is rapidly being completed thanks to the volunteer eff orts of numerous businesses and services. It is expected to be completed in time for a dedication ceremony tentatively scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.
