1.1 Introduction

In a developmental activity like Ordinary sand mining, all the exercise must co-exist satisfactorily with its surrounding condition so as to minimise the adverse impact on the environment. To control the likely adverse impacts and to achieve this goal, it is necessary to prepare a sound and Environmental Management Plan, which has to be implemented by the proponents, in order to achieve environmental protection along with production profits.

Government of State, proposes to give specified sand bearing area for ordinary sand by way of allotment of the specified sand bearing area by draw of lots over an extent of 28.00 Hectares in Veerapuram GP of Duginepally village, Pinapaka Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District, Telangana State. The proposal is submitted for environmental clearance as per the Prepared in Compliance with New Sand Mining Policy & Telangana State Sand Mining Rules 2015 and Resolution & Minutes of District Level Sand as Communicated by District Collector, Bhadradri Kothagudem District.

Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., Government of Telangana State has filed an application for quarry lease for Ordinary Sand mine over an extent of 28.00 Hectares in Veerapuram GP of Duginepally village, Pinapaka Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District, Telangana State to the Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Telangana State.

Proceeding No.4124/SAND/KTDM/2016, dated 01.12.2017 issued by the Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., Government of Telangana State.

1.2 Project proponent

Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., Government of Telangana State has been granted quarry lease for mining of ordinary sand over an extent of 28.00 Hectares in Veerapuram village, Pinapaka Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District, Telangana State.

1.3 Proposed project

The proposed project is located in 28.00Hectares in Veerapuram village, Pinapaka Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District, Telangana State over an area of 28.00Ha. The nearest habitation, village is located at a distance of 39 km from lease area. The proposed production is 4,93,457 Cu.m for a period of one year.
