By Robert Griffin Sports Writer It was a long night for the LaGrange Grangers. The Grangers managed less than 50 yards of offense Friday night as they fell to the Carrollton Trojans 49-0 at Callaway Sta- dium. The loss brings the Grangers (3-4 overall) to a 1-2 record in Region 6-AAA, while the Trojans (7-0) moved to 3-0 in region play. "This is one of the toughest losses since I have been coaching at LaGrange," said Steve Pardue said, the team’s head coach since 1994. "That was a tough one. You have to tip your hat to Carrollton. I give them a lot of credit for what happened out there tonight. They have a very good football team." The game belonged to Carrollton from the opening drive. "Obviously we need to heal a lot of emotional and physical bumps and bruises that we have, and regroup a little bit. “Losing Price Oliver we will have to shuffle some guys around on the defensive line and do some things differently." Oliver, a senior defensive line- man, injured his knee during prac- tice last week and will be lost for the season. ‘For pet people, this

Byis Jennifer their Shrader family’ Staff writer For many people who own a dog or a cat, that pet is like a child. And around LaGrange, there’s plenty of ways to spoil those “children” rot- ten. From doggie day care to “pet resorts” to a day at the spa, Fido and even Fluffy the cat can play with other animal friends, be primped and preened to look their best and – if they have to stay overnight and be separated from their owner – get a nighty- night tuck in on their very own special beds, com- plete with television and other comforts of home. At Parkway Pet Resort, Dr. Darrell Durham calls the boarding facilities what he’d dreamed about having for years before he moved his veterinary office to Lafayette Park- way about three years ago. “This is what I thought about having, and I finally Robyn Miles / Daily News had an opportunity to build it,” he said. “We’re Dogs at the Pink Poodle have the run of the place. Pets are allowed to play underfoot and snuggle in dog beds placed on shelves and in other cozy places while their fellow animal friends enjoy their “spa day.” On a recent morning at the Pink Poodle, a dog named Speckles was in charge. “He comes every day, so this is his home,” Curtis Most local grooming facilities also will groom cats, said. although some have special days just for that Bark-A-Tude Pet Salon, species. which opened about a year ago on Mooty Bridge Road, has taken pet grooming to the next level.
