news release 720.326.7311 Light rail wire replacement will affect service for RTD’s H and R lines this weekend Bus shuttles will be offered between affected stations DENVER (Oct. 4, 2019) – Light rail service on the Regional Transportation District's (RTD) H and R lines between Nine Mile Station and Southmoor Station and between Nine Mile Station and Belleview Station will be affected beginning Sunday, Oct. 6, at 3 a.m. thru Monday, Oct. 7, at 3 a.m. due to replacement of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) wire. In order to continue providing optimal service to our patrons, crews will be replacing existing wire along portions of the H and R lines. The OCS wires deliver power to the light rail vehicles through the pantograph that extends upward from the light rail vehicles and makes contact with the OCS wire. Train riders should plan for additional travel time between affected stations. Wire replacement will affect service as follows: Sunday, Oct. 6 from 3 a.m. through Monday, Oct. 7, at 3 a.m. Lines impacted: H and R Affected stations and bus shuttle boarding locations: • Southmoor Station – Board at Gate A • Belleview Station – Board at Gate A • Dayton Station - Board next to platform • Nine Mile Station - Board at Gate F On Sunday, Oct. 6, the H Line will terminate at Theatre District - Convention Center Station due to the Allstate Hot Chocolate 15K/5K Note: Rail returns to regular service Monday, Oct. 7.
