ln pursuance of the provision under Section 2 (d) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 the State Government have declare COVID-19 as a Disaster for the State of and authorised the Disaster Management Authorities, State Executive Committee and public authorities to take such action under the Act, as may be required, for management of the such disaster. Similarly under sub section 1 and 2 of Section 25 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, the State have also constituted the District Disaster Management Authorities with following members:I - Chairperson ex off/.c/.o 1. ln exercise of the power, conferred under Section 33 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, I do hereby authorise the following official of the district to take such measures, as it may be necessary in the interest of life, health and safety of the general public, for the prevention or mitigation of COVIDL19 disaster, 1. Project Director, DRDA, Sundargarh 2. Superintendent of Police, Sundargarh & , 3. DFO,Sundargarh/ Bonai/ 4. Additional District Magistrate, Sundargarh/Additional District Magistrate Rourkela, 5. All Sub Collectors , 6. CDM & PHO, Sundargarh, CMO, Rourkela, 7. All Tahasildar of Sundargarh district, 8. All BDO of sundargarh district and 9. All Executive Officer of Municipalities of Sundargarh district 10.District Education Officer, Sundargarh/ District Welfare Officer, Sundargarh 11. District Sports Officer, Sundargarh They are authorised as per Disaster Management Act 34 ( C ) and as per Letter No. 7730/H dt.13/03/2020 of Principal Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Odisha regarding Management of COVID-19 Pandemic to :- 1. 4. Convene special meeting of Gram Panchayat and Panchayat Samiti in order to sensitise public representative about COVID-19 and take their help and cooperation as to prevent Corona. (Action: All BDOs ) 5. Mission Shakti department will organise sensitisation of Women Self Help Group on precautionary measures and symptoms of COVID-19. (Action: Additibnal PD, oLpr, DP.DA/ A.II BDO= ) 6. Information and PR dept. will undertake setting of hoarding at prominent location in both Urban and Rural areas across the district. iAction: DIPRO, Sundargarh, Pp.urkele & SDPR9i£B_0_nLa!,)+ 7. The Block Development Officer of the district will keep in ready safe shelter having capacity of 200 to 300 for suspected infected persons and provide the facilities of electricity, drinking water, toilet, mattress, medicine and if necessary cooked food for such person. Similarly the Executive Officer Municipalities take such steps within their jurisdiction for the suspected victims of COVID|19 as per Clause 34 ( e) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 . The expenditure done on such activities would be booked and paid out of SDRF, after submission of certified bill and vouchers. (Action: All BDOs ) 8. The Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer, Sundargarh district and Director, Rourkela Govt. Hospital, Rourkela are to keep in ready the Quarantine and Isolation Facilities in their medical with reference to Letter No.I-137/2018-Mit 11 dt.11/03/2020 of NDMA, New Delhi and Letter no.934/OSDMA dt.13/03/2020 of Chief General Manager, OSDMA may be referred .
