Immediate administrator of faculty/staff doctors in The Eye Center. Works in conjunction with the Director of Clinic Operations under the general direction of the Vice President of Clinical Programs and is responsible for daily management including patient schedules, quality assurance and standards of care. Oversees the implementation of the Clinical Curriculum and oversees duties of the Chief of Service Areas while chairing The Eye Center Clinic Council. Ensures that all health care services provided through The Eye Center meet or exceed the prevailing standards of care. Oversees The Eye Center's quality assurance program and ensures that all Eye Center policies and protocols are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the delivery of health care. Works with Department of Human Resources regarding personnel issues, including employment, hiring, job descriptions, performance evaluations, termination, and training/development. The following report directly to the Chief of Staff: Chief of Adult Primary Care, Chief of Pediatric Primary Care, Chief of Advanced Care Ocular Disease, Chief of Cornea & Contact Lens, Chief of Vision Therapy & Rehabilitation, Chief of Low Vision, Director of Ophthalmic Services and Materials, and Ophthalmic Equipment Specialists.

Member or previous member of SCO Faculty Affairs Committee, SCO Faculty Search Committee, Problem-Based Learning Curriculum Committee, Student Affairs Committee, Strategic Planning Process, Clinic Grading Committee, and Student Interview Team. Directed the military’s largest contact lens clinic with substantial use of SCL’s, RGP’s, bifocals and torics.
