CHIEF OF FAMILY MEDICINE MCGILL UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTRE The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) is searching for a family physician with academic interests to lead the clinical, educational, research and innovation activities of its Department of Family Medicine. This program encompasses the clinical activities at the Montreal General Hospital site, Royal Victoria Hospital/Glen adult site and the Lachine Hospital site. As Chief of Family Medicine, the successful applicant will be responsible for the planning, organization, and quality improvement initiatives of the department. In addition to providing leadership in the delivery of excellent clinical services at the MUHC, the successful applicant will be expected to strongly support the academic mission through research and educational initiatives. The successful candidate is expected to provide leadership in the recruitment, development and mentoring of diverse faculty to allow them to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability in organizing collaborative clinical and academic work between different departments and inter-professional colleagues. The successful candidate is expected to: Have managerial experience in a tertiary care clinical setting; Have demonstrated academic leadership in their field; Be licensed or eligible for licensure in the province of Quebec; Comply with the regional manpower plans of the province and institution; Good knowledge of the Quebec health care system and have strong French-language skills.
