Ford Presidential Library. 1q76 'Winter COMMENCEMENT \ The University of Michigan Sunday, December 19, 1976, 1 :00 p.m. Crisler Arena WINTER COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES, 1976 instructions and suggestions to members of the graduation class Men will wear their academic caps while standing or marching, including the period during which they cross the platform. Women will wear their caps throughout. Tassels should be worn on the left side at all times. When your degree is to be announced, the Dean of your School or College will give you the cue to rise, and you will remain standing until he has taken his seat. DIPLOMAS: PLEASE NOTE Diplomas will be given to those on whom a doctoral degree has been conferred by the Graduate School. All other diplomas will be mailed about February l 0 except those being returned to the engrosser for addition of honors or distinction. The University Cellar would appreciate your returning your academic cap and gown to them at your earliest convenience. Representatives of the Cellar will be in the assembly area in the Modern Languages Building immediately following Commencement Exercises.
