By changing magazine, barrel and bolt head, a multitude of calibers can be used in the same R93 chassis. After a shooting accident near Koblenz in 1994, the R93 was criticised not to withstand high pressures and the bolt to unlock with excessive pressure.[1] An investigation by the DEVA concluded that the handloaded ammunition used, however, greatly exceeded the maximum legal gas pressure.[citation needed] The R93 was upgraded to the Blaser R8 with a detachable box magazine / trigger combination.

Glass bedding instruction Description content: • Preamble • Material / Tools • Pre-Assembly of parts • Preparation of laminated wood • Preparation of metal parts • Glass bedding • Postprocessing • Final Assembly • Exemplification Preamble • GRS recommends to glass bed all laminated GRS Riflestocks for maximum accuracy. • If you are shooting magnum calibers glass bedding is always required so the action does not have any play during recoil. • For some inlets like Schultz & Larsen, Rössler Titan 6, Blaser R93 Offroad / Professional, Blaser R8 Professional, glass bedding is always required as well! • Instead of bedding the Hülsenkopf as a standard only, you can optionally bed the complete system as well or work in additional pillars. • It is very important to avoid any tension inside the system, as this will always lead to precision problems. • With some inlets (for example Heym SR30) the bedding has some importance on the safety (Hülsenlauf) as well and for some inlets you must generally use the original parts (for example Mauser M12, Rössler Titan 6) as otherwise dysfunctions may occur. Material / Tools • Bedding material + blend in material • Parting agent + paintbrush • Putty (for example Plasticine), gun grease • Medical gloves, tissues, Q-Tips etc. • Bench vice and availability of standard gunsmith tools preconditioned! • ALWAYS CHECK ON THE ACCIDENT PREVENTION REGULATIONS OF ALL CHEMICALS AND TOOLS IN USE FOR THE GLASS BEDDING! Assembly of parts: • Before preparing the metal parts and wooden parts please first of all mount the GRS Riflestock to the rifle for once. • You will then find out soon, if there will be tension when mounting the rifle using the recommended torque and whether the barrel is in correct position.

A list of Ballistics and Weapons for Savage Worlds By Erron “Bo” Whitten © 2003 [email protected] Introduction The following data is compiled from a ballistics formula used by various organizations to determine data for a “rounds comparison.” I am using the data and the statistics from Savage Worlds to create this Ballistics List. It is as accurate as possible. To use it simply find data about the weapon in question and compare it to this information. The ballistics are for most rounds on the market. Type is the type of round in question. RF = Rimfire; CFP = Center Fire Pistol; CFR = Center Fire Rifle; CFAC = Center Fire Auto Cannon (I only included the 20mm American round); CFRP = Center Fire Rifle in a Pistol; CFPR = Center Fire Pistol in a Rifle; SG = Shot Gun; BP = Black Powder; BPSG = Black Powder Shot Gun. A rifle round used in a pistol reduces its damage due to lack of a barrel of sufficient length to allow the full expansion of the gases produced by the powder charge. A pistol round in a rifle has an increase of damage due to the increase of gas pressures due to the increase of chamber area in a lengthened barrel. • Assault Weapons Ban of 2013
ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN OF 2013 U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein A bill to ensure proper regulation of military-style 331 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, DC 20510 assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition http://feinstein.senate.gov feeding devices. 2/13 20152370 Confronting Assault Weapons in Society More than eight years have passed since the federal Assault Weapons Ban on military-style firearms expired in 2004. Since then, more than 350 people have been killed and more than 450 injured by these weapons. Towns like Newtown, Aurora and Tucson are now known for the mass shootings that shocked the nation. Mass murders in these towns and others across America demonstrate all too clearly the need to regulate deadly assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines. On January 24, 2013, we gathered to introduce a new Assault Weapons Ban of 2013. This legisla- tion, stronger than the 1994 bill, has two primary goals: • First, halt the sale, manufacture, transfer and importation of 157 of the most commonly-owned military-style assault weapons and ban an additional group of assault weapons that are particularly lethal because they can accept a detachable ammunition magazine and have one or more military characteristics. • Second, ban large-capacity magazines and other ammunition feeding devices that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. These devices allow shooters to fire numerous rounds in rapid succession without having to reload. We firmly believe that weapons designed for war have no place on the streets of a civilized soci- ety. We must enforce existing law and enact commonsense measures to stop the proliferation of military-style assault weapons while protecting the rights of law-abiding citizens who use guns for hunting, household defense or legitimate recreational purposes.
