The Mass Singing of the Bulgarian Anthem - the Culmination of Summer Tour Burgas 2019

On the 22nd of September - Independence Day choir "Rodna Pesen" /Home Song/ will perform life all the anthems of the member states of European Union on "Troikata" square. The culmination will be the mass singing of Bulgarian anthem. "Everyone who wants to take part in this unique for Bulgaria project can participates in this large event", said the Director of "Culture, Marketing and Public Relations" Vesela Yordanova. 13 schools, kindergartens, senior citizens clubs and community centers gave their applications for participating in this event. Citizens of the others Burgas Municipalities will come to support the initiatives - Primorsko, Tsarevo and Karnobat. The applications are expected to exceed to 600 till Sunday and with all who will join on the day, the estimated number of singers will be more than a thousand of people.

"The interpretation of music and text to 27 different countries is a huge challenge", said the conductor of the choir "Rodna Pesen" Levon Manukyan. He said in addition that main difficulties encountered in the preparation of the anthems of Belgium, Malta and Luxembourg whose languages are extremely difficult. The beginning of the event is at 11.00 and will be half an hour - 30 minutes which will shoot Burgas at the forefront of the battle for European Capital of Culture in 2019.

The project is the last event of the program of Burgas 2019 Summer Tour, which started in the beginning of July.

Only for 3 months it went around Nessebar, Aytos, Primorsko, Sredets, Malko Tarnovo, Tsarevo, Sozopol, Sungurlare, Pomorie, Ruen, Kameno and Karnobat.

After 1 month, on the 18th of October Burgas and the other Bulgarian cities that are candidates will launch its candidacies in the Ministry of Culture. The concept of the project of Burgas for 2019 is prepared jointly by team from the Municipality and "Hamalogika" Association. The decision of the commission which cities will pass to the next stage will become clear by the end of the year. After this every city will protect its application in December. The jury will consists independent experts in the field of culture both from Bulgaria and other countries from EU.
