London – 1 July 2016 – Amazon Prime Video is today confirmed as the home of the highly-anticipated TV series ROADIES in the UK. Amazon Prime members will be able to stream episodes 1 & 2 of the music-inspired comedy series on Monday 4th July, with subsequent episodes launching weekly, only a day after they premiere in the US, starting on Monday 11th July.

From Cameron Crowe - who won an Academy Award® for chronicling the highs and lows of rock and roll life in the film Almost Famous - along with Emmy® and Tony® nominee Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life, Wicked) and Emmy® winner J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Lost, Fringe, Person of Interest, Star Trek films), ROADIES is a new comedy series that follows the day-to-day life of a successful rock tour, but with a simple twist: the band is in the background, and the roadies take the spotlight. This is an inside look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of characters who live for music, and the improvised family they've formed along the way.

"Cameron Crowe and Winnie Holzman are both amazing story tellers and having both of their voices behind ROADIES makes it one of the most anticipated series of the year." stated Jay Marine, Vice President, Amazon Prime Video Europe. "Joining shows like The Man in the High Castle, Transparent, Mr. Robot, Preacher and the upcoming Clarkson, Hammond and May show, The Grand Tour, Roadies is a great addition to our line-up and we're sure that Prime customers are going to love it."

ROADIES stars Luke Wilson (Old School, The Royal Tenenbaums), Carla Gugino (San Andreas), Imogen Poots (28 Days Later), Rafe Spall (Prometheus), Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Peter Cambor (NCIS: ), musician Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly) and Ron White (Horrible Bosses). The series also features guest stars Jacqueline Byers (Ascension), Luis Guzman (Traffic), Finesse Mitchell (), Branscombe Richmond (Renegade) and Tanc Sade (Gilmore Girls). The show is a celebration of the crew members who live in the pockets of the people they work with, trying to remember which city they're in, and moving heaven and earth to give the fans an experience they'll never forget. They are the ones who literally get the show on the road.

ROADIES is produced by Bad Robot Productions, Vinyl Films and Dooley & Company Productions in association with Warner Bros. . Cameron Crowe, Winnie Holzman, J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk and Len Goldstein are executive producers; Kathy Lingg is co-executive producer. The deal was signed with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution for Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
