Round nine of the British Superbike Championship took place at the historic Silverstone racetrack and comprised three races. The first was won by Glenn Irwin on the Ducati, ahead of Australian Josh Brookes and American John Hopkins. The second race saw Brookes cross the line first with his Yamaha ahead of James Ellison on the Yamaha and Ducati rider Shane Byrne. Dan Linfoot on the snatched the win in the final race. Joining him on the podium were Michael Laverty and Jake Dixon.

The first of the three “showdown” rounds, during which the BSB title is decided, took place at . In the only race on the schedule, on a wet track, Kawasaki rider Leon Haslam took the win ahead of John Hopkins on the Ducati and Josh Brookes on the Yamaha.

For the second showdown round, the British Superbike Championship travelled to Holland, and the Assen track, for the weekend’s two races. The first was won by Leon Haslam, followed across the line by Shane Byrne and James Ellison, while the winner of race two was rider , ahead of Josh Brookes and Leon Haslam.

The final, decisive round took place at and comprised three races. Leon Haslam and Shane Byrne arrived here separated by only a few championship points. Race 1 was won by Byrne, ahead of Christian Iddon on the BMW and Josh Brookes. Byrne did it again in race 2. Second place for Iddon and third for James Ellison.

In the third and final race, in which the championship was decided, Haslam unfortunately crashed in the early stages and so an eighth-place finish for Byrne was enough for him to score the title. The win went to Brookes, followed across the line by Jason O’Halloran on the Honda and James Ellison. In the final championship standings, Byrne finishes first with 637 points, ahead of Haslam with 631 and Hickman with 578.

The final three rounds of the Supersport 300 world championship took place at the Portimao, Magny Cours and Jerez racetracks. In the Portuguese race, the win went to Ana Carrasco, the first woman to ever win an international race. The Spaniard crossed the line ahead of Italian Coppola and fellow countryman Garcia, both on the Yamaha.

Marc Garcia scored the win at Magny-Cours in France. The young Spaniard crossed the line first ahead of Alfonso Coppola and Dutchman Robert Schotman. With just one race to go, Garcia had accumulated 126 points in the general standings, while Coppola followed on 122. These two riders battled it out for the title in the final, decisive race at Jerez.

The final race at Jerez, in which the Supersport 300 world championship was assigned, was won by a wild card: Indonesian Galang Hendra. Second place for Dutchman Scott Deroue and third for Coppola, ahead of Garcia who, by finishing fourth, secured the world title, beating the Italian by just one point: 139 for Garcia and 138 for Coppola. A season decided in the very last race and by just one point!

The final three races (one at Misano Adriatico in Italy and two at Aragon in Spain) served to decide the 2018 Red Bull Rookies Cup title. At Misano the race was won by Japanese rider Ai Ogura, ahead of fellow countryman Kazuki Masaki and Spaniard Aleix Viu.

The two Aragon races were decisive in terms of assigning the title. The first was won by Masaki, followed by Ogura and Viu. Race three saw Spaniard Viu cross the line first, followed by Adrian Carrasco and Italian Omar Bonoli. It was Kazuki Masaki who won the championship, with 194 points. Second place for Spaniard Aleix Viu, with 183, and third for Turkish rider Can Oncu, with 165.
