12th Sunday in Ordinary Time 4:00 P.M. SUNDAY LIFETEEN MASS

INTRODUCTORY RITES

GATHERING SONG DEATH WAS ARRESTED Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin Lost without hope with no place to begin Your love made a way to let mercy come in When death was arrested and my life began

Oh Your grace so free washes over me You have made me new now life begins with You It's Your endless love pouring down on us You have made us new now life begins with You

Released from my chains I'm a pris'ner no more My shame was a ransom He faithfully bore He cancelled my debt and He called me His friend When death was arrested and my life began

Our Savior displayed on a criminal's cross Darkness rejoiced as though Heaven had lost But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand That's when death was arrested and my life began

HOMILY Profession of Faith I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, ~all bow during the next line~ and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, He suffered death and was buried, page 3 and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

page 8 HOLY GOD, WE PRAISE THY NAME Holy God, we praise Thy Name; Lord of all, we bow before Thee! All on earth Thy scepter claim, All in Heaven above adore Thee; Infinite Thy vast domain, Everlasting is Thy reign.

Hark! the loud celestial hymn Angel choirs above are raising, Cherubim and seraphim, In unceasing chorus praising; Fill the heavens with sweet accord: Holy, holy, holy, Lord.

Lo! the apostolic train Join the sacred Name to hallow; Prophets swell the loud refrain, And the white robed martyrs follow; And from morn to set of sun, Through the Church the song goes on.

Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit, Three we name Thee; While in essence only One, Undivided God we claim Thee; And adoring bend the knee, While we own the mystery. (Walworth, Ignaz, Gesangbuch) Public Domain Breaking Bread #197, Never Too Young #95, CCLI #114555

O Sacrament most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, All praise and all thanksgiving, Be every moment Thine. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of thy Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. O Sacrament most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, All praise and all thanksgiving, Be every moment Thine
