During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power. The Meddler (PG-13) Susan Sarandon Rose Byrne With a new iPhone, an apartment near the Grove, and a comfortable bank account left to her by her beloved late husband, Marnie Minervini has happily relocated from New Jersey to Los Angeles to be near her daughter Lori, a successful (but still single) screenwriter, and smother her with motherly love. But when the dozens of texts, unexpected visits, and conversations dominated by unsolicited advice force Lori to draw strict personal boundaries, Marnie finds ways to channel her eternal optimism and forceful generosity to change the lives of others – as well asher own – and find a new purpose in life. Money Monster (R) Julia Roberts George Clooney Lee Gates is a TV personality whose insider tips have made him the money guru of Wall Street. When Kyle loses all of his family's money on a bad tip, he holds Lee and his entire show hostage on air threatening to kill Lee if he does not get the stock up 24 and a half points before the bell. Ratings soar as the entire country tunes in to this media frenzy to find out just how much a man's life is worth. Meanwhile, the hostage situation sheds light on a possible scandal involving the company in question. With elements of Dog Day Afternoon and Network, Money Monster is a very timely piece in these economic times. Captain America: Civil War (PG-13) Chris Evans Robert Downey Jr. Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps— one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. • The 48 Stars That People Like Less Than Anne Hathaway  by Nate Jones
The 48 Stars That People Like Less Than Anne Hathaway By Nate Jones Spend a few minutes reading blog comments, and you might assume that Anne Hathaway’s approval rating falls somewhere between that of Boko Haram and paper cuts — but you'd actually be completely wrong. According to E-Poll likability data we factored into Vulture's Most Valuable Stars list, the braying hordes of Hathaway haters are merely a very vocal minority. The numbers say that most people actually like her. Even more shocking? Who they like her more than. In calculating their E-Score Celebrity rankings, E-Poll asked people how much they like a particular celebrity on a six-point scale, which ranged from "like a lot" to "dislike a lot." The resulting Likability percentage is the number of respondents who indicated they either "like" Anne Hathaway or "like Anne Hathaway a lot." Hathaway's 2014 Likability percentage was 67 percent — up from 66 percent in 2013 — which doesn't quite make her Will Smith (85 percent), Sandra Bullock (83 percent), Jennifer Lawrence (76 percent), or even Liam Neeson (79 percent), but it does put her well above plenty of stars whose appeal has never been so furiously impugned on Twitter. Why? Well, why not? Anne Hathaway is a talented actress and seemingly a nice person. The objections to her boiled down to two main points: She tries too hard, and she's overexposed. But she's been absent from the screen since 2012'sLes Misérables, so it's hard to call her overexposed now. And trying too hard isn't the worst thing in the world, especially when you consider the alternative.

Affirmative Entertainment David Duchovny Biography Born and raised in New York City, Duchovny attended Princeton University (where he played one season as shooting guard on the school's basketball team), received his Masters Degree in English Literature from Yale and was on the road to earning his Ph.D. when he caught the acting bug. Subsequently, Duchovny emerged to become one of the most highly acclaimed actors in Hollywood. The star of Fox Television's international monster hit "The X-Files," David was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, he was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his highly acclaimed and some say risque appearances on THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW. In January 1997, David won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series. He has been nominated for a total of three Golden Globes, three Screen Actors Guild and a TV Critic's Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series. The press and the public both agree that Duchovny brings a fierce intellect, a quiet intensity and an acerbic wit to his roles on both the small screen and the silver screen. Since THE X-FILES debuted, millions and millions of self-proclaimed "X-Philes" spent their Sunday nights wide-eyed in anticipation as their hero, the brilliant and sullen FBI agent Fox Mulder, explored cases deemed unbelievable or unsolvable by the Bureau. Duchovny's remarkable performance on THE X-FILES earned him the title of "Zeitgeist Icon" by Laura Jacobs in The New Republic and "the first Internet sex symbol with hair" by Maureen Dowd in The New York Times.

  • Five Lessons the New George Clooney Movie Money Monster Teaches Us About Crisis Communications
Crisis comms to the extreme: Lee Gates' (George Clooney) life depends on what Diane Lester (Caitriona Balfe) says in this live cross Sep 09, 2016 09:16 +08 Five lessons the new George Clooney movie Money Monster teaches us about crisis communications There's a particularly tense scene in the new George Clooney movie "Money Monster", which should be of great interest to media spokespeople who are confronted with a crisis situation. Clooney, playing fictional financial TV host Lee Gates (here's lookin' at you, Jim Cramer) is threatened live on air by a gunman, who lost his life savings investing in troubled Ibis Clear Capital after it announced a big loss. Gates had recommended the algotrading company's stock on his show. Gates' down-the-line guest, Ibis' Chief Communications Officer Diane Lester (Caitriona Balfe), delivers rehearsed holding statements to the camera in a live cross. The gunman doesn't buy it, putting Gates' life perilously in danger. Gates' producer Patty Fenn (Julia Roberts), commenting in Gates' earpiece from the TV control room, doesn't buy it either. The dialogue goes something like this (spoiler alert!): Gates (to camera): We're going to talk to Diane Lester, she's the PR lady… Fenn (in his earpiece): She's the CCO. Gates: …the Chief Communications Officer at Ibis. Diane? Lester (to camera): First, let me start off by saying on behalf of everyone here at Ibis, we are prepared to do whatever we can to get you to put down that gun, Mr Budwell. Now, I understand that you have offered to compensate him for his losses personally, Lee? Well, we are absolutely willing to do the same if it helps to put an end to all this.
