Received: 15 December 2013 / Accepted: 18 December 2014 / Available online: 25 March 2015 Abstract In 2011 the partial skeleton of a goniopholidid crocodylomorph was recovered in the ENDESA coal mine Mina Corta Barrabasa (Escu- cha Formation, lower Albian), located in the municipality of Andorra (Teruel, Spain). This new goniopholidid material is represented by abundant postcranial and fragmentary cranial bones. The study of these remains coincides with a recent description in 2013 of at least two new species of goniopholidids in the palaeontological site of Mina Santa María in Ariño (Teruel), also in the Escucha Formation. These species are Anteophthalmosuchus escuchae, Hulkepholis plotos and an undetermined goniopholidid, AR-1-3422. In the present paper, we describe the postcranial and cranial bones of the goniopholidid from Mina Corta Barrabasa and compare it with the species from Mina Santa María.

Here we provide an overview of 11 new dinosaur tracksites found during a fieldwork campaign in the year 2011. The majority of these tracksites (seven) preserve small- to medium-sized tridactyl tracks here assigned to indeterminate theropods. Only one footprint presents enough characters to classify it as Megalosauripus isp. Ornithopod tracks identified asCaririchnium isp. and Iguanodontipodidae indet.

Today it has a wide 10 distribution across the northern Sahara where it has enormous socio-economic importance as a major 11 freshwater aquifer. During the Early Cretaceous major north-south trending basement structures were 12 reactivated in response to renewed Atlantic rifting and in Algeria, faults along the El Biod-Hassi 13 Messaourd Ridge appear to have been particularly important in controlling thickness patterns of the 14 Lower Cretaceous Continental Intercalaire. Subsurface data from the Krechba gas field in Central Algeria 15 shows that the Lower Cretaceous stratigraphy is subdivided into two clear parts. The lower part (here 16 termed the In Salah Formation) is a 200 m thick succession of alluvial deposits with large meandering 17 channels, clearly shown in 3D seismic, and waterlogged flood basins indicated by lignites and gleyed, 18 pedogenic mudstones. The overlying Krechba Formation is a 500 m thick succession of quartz- 19 dominated sands and sandstones whose microstructure indicates an aeolian origin, confirming earlier 20 observations from outcrop.

An easy-to-navigate pocket guide to the Meeting is also available to delegates. Venue The Annual Meeting will take place in the faculties of Philosophy and Philology on the Blasco Ibañez Campus of the University of Valencia. The Symposium will take place in the Salon Actos Manuel Sanchis Guarner in the Faculty of Philology. The main meeting will take place in this and a nearby lecture theatre (Salon Actos, Faculty of Philosophy). There is a Metro stop just a few metres from the campus that connects with the centre of the city in 5-10 minutes (Line 3-Facultats). Alternatively, the campus is a 20-25 minute walk from the ‘old town’. This new fossil site, which has been named San Just, contains an exceptional quantity of amber remains associated with fossilized wood and leaves of probable araucarian origin, and is dated as EarlyeMiddle Albian (Early Cretaceous). The amber is physically and chemically similar to other Spanish Early Cretaceous ambers. Values of IRTF are also similar to other Early Cretaceous ambers, except for curve values of 800e400 cmÀ1 (in which bands are not visible) and the absence of exocyclic methylenic bands at 880 cmÀ1 and 1640 cmÀ1. The latter is also a feature of Alava amber (Penacerrada~ I and II exposures), and suggests a high degree of maturation. The San Just outcrop is the second in Teruel Province in which biological inclusions (mainly insects and chelicerates) have been found in amber. Insects are represented by hyme- nopterans (Scelionidae, Evaniidae: Cretevania, Stigmaphronidae), dipterans (Dolichopodidae: Microphorites, Ceratopogonidae), thysanopterans (Stenurothripidae), and coleopterans (Cucujidae).

Ipas** RESUMEN En Galve (Teruel) hay más de 50 localidades con restos de vertebrados continentales en las Formaciones Higueruelas (Titónico), Villar del Arzobispo (Titónico superior-Berriasien­ se medio), El Castellar (Hauteriviense terminal-Barremiense basal) y Camarillas (Barre­ miense inferior). Por tanto, «Galve» no es un único yacimiento de vertebrados mesozoicos, sino una localidad con numerosos yacimientos de vertebrados del intervalo Titónico-Barre• miense, que geológicamente pertenecen a la Cuenca cretácica inferior del Maestrazgo (Cor­ dillera Ibérica Central), Subcuenca de Galve. La mayor parte de los yacimientos contienen restos óseos, pero también son abundantes los yacimientos paleoicnológicos y paleoológi• coso Los vertebrados mejor conocidos son los mamíferos y dinosaurios, aunque también hay estudios sobre los tiburones, peces óseos, anfibios, escamosos y cocodrilos. Algunos grupos, como tortugas y pterosaurios, permanencen prácticamente sin estudiar. Galve es la localidad tipo de varios taxones de vertebrados: el tiburón Lonchidion microselachos, el anfibio Gal­ verpeton ibericum, el dinosaurio Aragosaurus ischiaticus, los mamíferos Galveodon nan­ nothus, Lavocatia alfambrensis, Eobaatar hispanicus, Parendotherium herreroi, Spalacot­ herium henkeli y Pocamus pepelui, y la cáscara de huevo de dinosaurio Macroolithus turo­ lensis. Es este trabajo se revisa el estado de conocimientos sobre los vertebrados de Galve, y se actualiza la lista faunística de sus yacimientos, siendo la primera vez que se realiza teniendo en cuenta la distribución estratigráfica de los taxones.

A revised chronostratigraphy of the Barremian-Early Albian sedimentary record of 21 the Maestrat Basin (E Iberian Peninsula) is provided based on a comprehensive synthesis of 22 previous biostratigrahic data, a new ammonoid finding and numerical ages derived from 23 87Sr/86Sr values measured on shells of rudists, oysters and brachiopods. The succession, which 24 comprises eight lithostratigraphic formations, is arranged into six major transgressive- 25 regressive sequences and plotted against numerical ages, geomagnetic polarity chrons, 26 ammonoid zones and the stratigraphic distribution of age-diagnostic ammonoids, orbitolinid 27 foraminifera and rudist bivalves. The oldest lithostratigraphic unit sampled, the marine 28 Artoles Formation, is Early to Late Barremian. Above, the dinosaur-bearing deposits of the 29 Morella Formation and its coastal to shallow-marine equivalent, the Cervera del Maestrat 30 Formation, are of Late Barremian age and span at least part of the Imerites giraudi ammonoid 31 zone.

These plant fossil remains consist of several silicified false trunks measuring up to 1.20 m long, some of which still preserve the apex. Rhizomes and petioles are more abundant in the apical zone of the false trunk. Some false trunks preserve charcoalified tissues that can be interpreted as evidence that palaeo-wildfires affected the false trunks several times from mostly the same direction. Sedimentological evidence suggests that the fern habitat was close to coastal, tidally influenced environments. These new fossils from the Albian of Spain fill the chronological and distributional gap of Tempskya that existed in Eurasia during the Early Cretaceous. Temporal and spatial changes in Tempskya distributions are proposed on several palaeogeographical maps.
