DOMESTIC STUDENTS ONTARIO All Canadian citizens and permanent residents can benefit from a 45% tuition bursary in British Columbia, and a 35% tuition bursary in Ontario. The tuition bursary is only applicable to all courses completed on-campus. Students with IELTS or equivalent score of 6.5 and higher will enroll in Yorkville University’s regular academic program without condition. Yorkville University’s ESL Pathway Program enables students, with less than the minimum required IELTS Intakes scores, to be accepted to Yorkville University programs in Ontario. Students not meeting the minimum criterion have the following options, depending on their IELTS score: • Students with scores above 5.5 but below 6.5 will enroll in the regular academic program and will enroll in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course in Term 1. There are four full terms in a year: January, April, July and October. • For scores between 4.5 and 5.5, students will have to successfully complete Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program. • For scores lower than 4.5, students will have to successfully complete Level 1 and Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program. All students completing Level 2 of the ESL Pathway Program are eligible to start their academic program but will enroll in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course in Term 1. Students without an IELTS score will be asked to complete the Oxford Placement Test to determine their placement in either (a) Level 1, (b) Level 2 or (c) enter their degree program directly or with a concurrent English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course.
