The Council initially invited the suggestion of candidate sites for a 6-month period between 1st February and 31st July 2009. A second invitation for the further submission of sites was held for a 6-week period between 15th June and 27th July 2010.

Those proposing sites were asked to complete a standard submission form. There were no size restrictions and sites were invited for all types of development including housing, employment, retail, transportation proposals, recreation and community use, minerals, waste and renewable energy.

All candidate sites submitted are recorded on this 'Candidate Site Register'. The Register contains baseline information taken from the site submission form and for each site identifies the Spatial Area; the unique reference number; the location description; the existing use of the land; the proposed use(s) of the site; the category or type of development; and the size of the site in hectares. Sites are listed alphabetically by reference number.
