2 O 2 1 A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO THE CLASS OF 2021, FAMILIES, AND FRIENDS:

The past two years have been without precedent. The COVID-19 pandemic forced numerous changes in Lawrence Tech operations, and upended the plans of our graduates and other students, faculty, and staff. From the classroom and labs to the playing fields, from dorms to food services, your university community, like many others, had to quickly develop new procedures and routines to complete essential tasks and forge ahead. Although we regretted having to reconfigure the traditional graduation ceremonies for both the Class of 2020 and 2021, this virtual ceremony allows you, your family and friends, to enjoy the ceremony from the safety and comfort of your home without health or travel risks. University leaders will share reflections and special messages, honorary degree and Alumni Achievement Award recipients will inspire you with their words of hope, and—most importantly— graduates who provided photos can be individually recognized. This copy of the program includes all graduates and a printed copy is being mailed with diplomas. While the faculty, staff, and I realize that nothing quite takes the place of a live, in-person event, there is certainly no reduction in our esteem and pride in the accomplishments of our graduates. That they have completed their degrees during these extraordinary circumstances is testimony to their perseverance and indomitable spirit. I know they will continue to accomplish much and be a success in all they do, both in their professions and in life!

With all best wishes,

Virinder K. Moudgil, PhD President and CEO
