MYERS STADIUM, AUSTIN, TEXAS TWITTER: @AGGIETFXC /// INSTAGRAM: @AGGIETFXC /// FACEBOOK: /AGGIETFXC /// #GIGEM MEET SCHEDULE OUTDOOR SCHEDULE The Aggies begin the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday with the start of the March 19-20 | Willie Williams Classic men's hammer at 12:30 p.m., followed by the track prelims at 4 p.m. Friday's begins with the Tucson, Arizona women's high jump at 9:30 a.m., the 100/110m hurdles prelims at 1:35 p.m. The final day of March 25-27 | Texas Relays the meet kicks off at 10 a.m. with the women's discus and caps off the meet at 4:20 p.m. Austin, Texas with the 4x400m relays. April 3 | Texas A&M vs. Texas Dual Meet HOW TO KEEP UP Austin, Texas The three-day meet will be streamed live each day on the Longhorn Network and live results will be provided through PrimeTime Timing. Bryan-College Station, Texas April 16-17 | Michael Johnson Classic AGGIES PREVIEW Waco, Texas The Aggies jumped out to a hot start in the outdoor season and lead the Southeastern Conference in 10 events. On the national level, James Smith II (400m hurdles), Carlton April 23-24 | LSU Alumni Orange (800m) and Lamara Distin (high jump) lead the country in their respective events. Baton Rouge, Louisiana Orange leads the NCAA in the 800m (1:48.45), Smith II in the 400m hurdles (49.95) and Distin in the women’s high jump (1.83m/6-0). Smith II and Distin enter the Texas Relays in their May 1 | Alumni Muster Bryan-College Station, Texas respective events, while Orange is entered in the invitational mile. May 8 | Aggie Invitational The Maroon & White also lead the NCAA in the women’s 4x100m (44.35) and men’s 4x400m Bryan-College Station, Texas (3:06.33). Tuohy was surprised with the news by 2016-2017 National Girls Track & Field Winner and Female Athlete of the Year Sydney McLaughlin. Tuohy is the first athlete in history to win the Gatorade Player of the Year national title for two different sports, cross country and track & field. The Missouri City, Texas, qualified as a member of the mixed 4x400m relay. Round one of the mixed 4x400m is scheduled for the morning of July 31, followed by the finals the morning of August 1. Deadmon placed seventh in the 400m finals at the U.S. Olympic trials, followed by a second place finish in Hungary. During his time in Aggieland, he finished as a 10-time All-American and was a five-time SEC Champi- on. He set 13 Texas A&M all-time top-12 marks, including the school record in the indoor 300m (32.73) and ran as a member of the outdoor 4x400m school record relay that won the NCAA event title in 2019 (2:59.05). Tyra Gittens ‘21 – Long Jump – Trinidad & Tobago Gittens makes her Olympic Games debut on Monday, July 31 in the long jump, where she has the world’s seventh-best mark in 2021. Gittens has competed for Trinidad & Tobago in international competition on multiple occasions, including the 2018 NACAC Championships and the Pan American U20 Championships in 2017. The 23-year-old, recently completed her junior season as a six-time All-American, including three NCAA event titles. Gittens set the all-time collegiate record in the pentath- lon with a score of 4,746 points and set six Texas A&M records in 2021.
