Competition Notes
National Competition fixtures must take priority if there is a clash of dates.
Specific Competition Rules
In league / group format, 3 points shall be awarded for a win and one point for a draw. The team with the greatest number of points shall be the winner of the league / group except where a school has not fulfilled all of its fixtures and will not be eligible to qualify for the knock out stages, where this is their fault i.e. They conceded one or more group games.
A fixture decided by the Emergency Committee shall be considered a game played in this context and the school awarded the match shall be credited with a win i.e. 3 points and an average score.
In the event of a tie the group positions shall be decided by Goal Difference and then by Goals Scored. Should two schools still be tied, the league result between those two schools shall decide the group positions. If that match is drawn, the away team shall be declared the winner.
Match Duration Under 13 Girls competition – 30 minutes each way Under 15/16 Girls competitions – 35 minutes each way
Size of Ball In all Matches from Under 12 to Under 14, a size 4 shall be used. In all other competitions a size 5 shall be used.
Substitutes ‘Repeated’ substitutions are allowed in all competitions. In these age groups, a player who has been substituted during a match becomes a substitute and may, in turn, replace another player at any time subject to the substitution being carried out in accordance with Law 3 of the Laws of the Game.
Teams are permitted to use 5 substitutes from five named players.
