ISSN 0016-5301 Artículo Original Flora vascular de la Laguna Avendaño, Provincia de Diguillín, Chile Vascular flora of the Avendaño Lagoon, Province of Diguillín, Chile CARLOS BAEZA1*, ROBERTO RODRÍGUEZ1 & OSCAR TORO-NÚÑEZ1 1Departamento de Botánica, Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Oceanográficas, Universidad de Concepción, Concepción, Chile. *[email protected] RESUMEN La Laguna Avendaño se ubica en la Provincia de Diguillín, dentro del macrobioclima Mediterráneo, Región de Ñuble, Chile, y constituye un importante centro de recreación durante los meses de verano. Se estudió la flora vascular presente en el cuerpo de agua y en sectores aledaños, los cuales difieren en el grado de antropización. Se compararon 5 sitios en cuanto a la composición y riqueza específica de ellos. Los sitios más alterados, en base al número de especies introducidas, corresponden a los lugares abiertos al público y de uso recreacional masivo. Se documenta la presencia de 113 especies de plantas vasculares que crecen espontáneamente, incluyendo 6 Pteridophyta, 77 Dicotyledoneae y 30 Monocotyledoneae. Del total de especies, 13,3% son endémicas de Chile, 52,2% nativas y 34,5% introducidas. Las familias mejor representadas son: Poaceae, Asteraceae, Cyperaceae y Scrophulariaceae. El objetivo de este catálogo fue describir la flora aledaña al cuerpo de agua de esta laguna que tiene una enorme importancia turística para la Comuna de Quillón, y por ende fuerte presión antrópica. Además, se incluye el análisis comparativo de estos patelogastrópodos en relación con la estructura, la morfología y los patrones de color de la concha, los dientes de la rádula y la anatomía corporal. Adicionalmente, se entrega información respecto de la distribución y ecología para todos los miembros de este grupo. Los resultados muestran que la fauna Lottiidae de Chile y Perú consiste en al menos nueve especies de patelogastrópodos intermareales. Esto es, ocho especies de patelogastrópodos agrupadas dentro del clado monofilético Scurria (S. variabilis, S. zebrina, S. viridula, S. plana, S. scurra, S. araucana, S. ceciliana y una especie no determinada) y un “taxón problemático” asignado preliminarmente dentro del género Lottia (‘Lottia’ orbignyi). El grupo está presente entre los 5º S y 54º S, registrándose en los niveles intermareales superior, medio e inferior, desde zonas expuestas a protegidas del oleaje. -

Sin embargo, la dieta y comportamiento de muchos consumidores aún no son bien conocidos, dificultando abordar problemas clave relativos por ejemplo a la importancia de la omnivoría, competencia intra-e inter-específica o especialización individual. Intentando corregir algunas deficiencias, ofrecemos a los investigadores un registro dietario exhaustivo y descriptores ecológicos relevantes para 30 especies de amplia distribución en el Pacífico sudeste, integrando muestreos estacionales entre 2004 y 2007 en 4 localidades distribuidas en 1.000 km de costa en el norte de Chile. Abstract 1. Complex networks have been useful to link experimental data with mechanistic models, and have become widely used across many scientic disciplines. Recently, the increasing amount and complexity of data, particularly in biology, has prompted the development of multidimensional networks, where dimensions reect the multiple qualitative properties of nodes, links, or both. As a consequence, traditional quantities computed in single dimensional networks should be adapted to incorporate this new information. A particularly important problem is the detection of communities, namely sets of nodes sharing certain properties, which reduces the complexity of the networks, hence facilitating its interpretation. 2. In this work, we propose an operative denition of function for the nodes in multidimensional networks, and we exploit this denition to show that it is possible to detect two types of communities: i) modules, which are communities more densely connected within their members than with nodes belonging to other communities, and ii) guilds, which are sets of nodes connected with the same neighbours, even if they are not connected themselves. -

Introduction While preparing the second volume of Contributions to the Orchid flora of Central West Africa (SZLACHETKO et al. 2006) various materials belonging to the representatives of subtribe Malaxidinae (Orchidaceae) have been examined. Among others the genus Orestias RIDL. has been reviewed completely. Materials and methods For the investigation materials (herbarium specimens, spirit collections, literature data and iconographies) kept at e.g.: B, BM, BR, G, HBG, K, MO, P, UPS, WAG, W and WU have been used. Results and discussion While establishing the genus Orestias, RIDLEY (1887) included to it the sole species Orestias elegans. He recognized the representatives of this new species amongst mate- rials originally determind as Microstylis stelidostachya RcHB.f. The most important and characteristic features of the new genus given by RIDLEY (1887) were: elongated column with rostellum very large, oblong, triangular to flabellate, dis- tinctly erumpent out of lateral margins of anther and locules opening laterally what is especially unique amongst closely related genera of Malaxidinae.
