THE MIZRACHI Tu BiShvat SEDER A companion to the Tu BiShvat Seder on אֶ רֶ ץ ִ חָּטה ְׂ ּושעָֹרה וְ גֶ פֶ ן ּו תְ אֵ ָ נ ה ְוִרּמוֹן אֶ רֶ ץ ֵזית ֶׁשֶמן ּו ְ ד ָ ב שׁ . דברים ח:ח A land of wheat and ၢarley, Ѷines, figs and ᑰomegranates, a land of olive oil and (date) honeべ. DEVARIM 8:8 Setting the Table Include food from the seven species: grain products, such as bread or crackers; wine, grapes or rai- sins; olives or olive oil; dates or date honey; figs; and pomegranates. You may also add items for the blessings of ha’adama and shehakol. (Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chayim 211:4; see Mishnah Berurah.) WHEAT AND BARLEY ְי ִהי ָר ֹצוׁן ֶש ַא ֲה ָב ֵת ּנו ָל ָאֶר ּץ ִת ְצ ַמח ְּכ ִח ָּטה, ָא ֵמן. May our love for the Land of Israel keep growing, Amen. Before eating grain products (other than bread): ָּב ּרו ְך ַא ָּתה ה' ֱא ֵ־ֹלה ּינו ֶמ ֶל ְך ָהעוֹ ָלם ּבוֹ ֵרא ִמ ֵיני ְמזוֹנוֹ ת. Before eating bread: ָּב ּרו ְך ַא ָּתה ה' ֱא ֵ־ֹלה ּינו ֶמ ֶל ְך ָהעוֹ ָלם ַה ּמוֹ ִציא ֶל ֶחם ִמן ָה ָאֶרץ. WINE Before drinking the wine or grape juice: ָּב ּרו ְך ַא ָּתה ה' ֱא ֵ־ֹלה ּינו ֶמ ֶל ְך ָהעוֹ ָלם ּבוֹ ֵרא ְּפִרי ַה ָּג ֶפן. OLIVES ְי ִהי ָר ֹצוׁן ֶשַּי ְח ְז ּרו ַה ּכ ֲֹה ִנים ַל ֲעבוֹ ָד ָתם ְּב ֵבית ַה ִּמ ְק ָ ּדׁש ִּב ְמ ֵהָרה ְבָי ֵמ ּינו, ָא ֵמן. May our Kohanim return to their place in Beit Hamikdash in our times, Amen. Before eating the olives (or fruit that grows on trees), say the following blessing. Have in mind that it is being recited for all the other fruits eaten at this celebration: ָּב ּרו ְך ַא ָּתה ה' ֱא ֵ־ֹלה ּינו ֶמ ֶל ְך ָהעוֹ ָלם ּבוֹ ֵרא ְּפִרי ָה ֵעץ. Before eating fruit for the first time in a season: ָּב ּרו ְך ַא ָּתה ה' ֱא ֵ־ֹלה ּינו ֶמ ֶל ְך ָהעוֹ ָלם ׁ ֶש ֶה ֱחָי ּנו ְו ִק ְּי ָמ ּנו ְו ִה ִּג ָיע ּנו ַל ְּז ַמן ַה ֶּזה. DATES ְי ִהי ָר ֹצוׁן ֶש ִּנ ְפַרח ְּכ ָת ָמ ׁר ָש ּתול ְּב ֵבית ה', ָא ֵמן. May we blossom like a date planted in the house of Hashem, Amen. GRAPES ְי ִהי ָר ֹצוׁן ֶש ֵּנ ֵׁש ּב ַת ַחת ַע ְנ ֵפי ַה ֶּג ֶפן ְּב ָׁשלוֹ ם, ָא ֵמן. May we sit under our vines in peace, Amen. FIGS ְי ִהי ָר ֹצוׁן ֶש ִּנ ָנ ֵּ ׂשא ִּכ ְפִרי ַה ְּת ֵא ָנה ְו ַנ ֲע ֶלה ֵמ ַח ִיל ֶאל ָח ִיל, ָא ֵמן. May we be elevated like a fig and rise up from strength to strength, Amen. POMEGRANATES ְי ִהי ָר ֹצוׁן ֶש ַּנְר ֶּבה ִמ ְצווֹ ת ְּכִר ּמוֹ ן, ָא ֵמן. May we have many mitzvot like a pomegranate, Amen. Before eating vegetables or fruit that does not grow on trees: ָּב ּרו ְך ַא ָּתה ה׳ ֱא ֵ־ֹלה ּינו ֶמ ֶל ְך ָהעוֹ ָלם ּבֵוֹ רא ְּפִרי ָה ֲא ָד ָמה. Before eating other food or drinking other liquids: ָּב ּרו ְך ַא ָּתה ה׳ ֱא ֵ־ֹלה ּינו ֶמ ֶל ְך ָהעוֹ ָל ׁם ֶש ַה ּכֹל ִנ ְהָיה ִּב ְד ָברוֹ . At the end of the Seder, say birkat hamazon (if bread was eaten) or a bracha acharona. ַלׁ ָש ָנה ַה ָּב ָאה ִּב ּירוׁ ָש ַל ִים ַה ְּב ּנוָיה! .
