Performance Experience 2017-2019 | Peabody Percussion Group • Premiere performing percussion chamber ensemble, performing major works by Alejandro Viñao, Paul Lansky, James Wood, and Thierry de Mey in and around Baltimore, highlights included performing at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington DC. 2017-2019 | Peabody Institute Ensembles • Academic ensembles including the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Studio Orchestra, Modern Orchestra, Conductor’s Orchestra, and Opera Theatre Orchestra.. • Major conducting faculty include Marin Alsop, director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and guest artists such as David Zinman and Joseph Young. • Major performances included Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, and Leonard Bernstein’s, Mass. 2015-Present | Lagan Percussion • Founding member of a percussion quartet committed to commissioning and performing new works for percussion, as well as provide unique and engaging concert experiences. • Notable collaborations include such as Alejandro Viñao, Ivan Treviño, Robert Honstein, and Aaron . • Lagan Percussion is the inaugural winner of the Semper Pro Musica Competition, hosted by the Baylor University School of Music 2015 | Timpanist, Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps • Member of the front ensemble of the drum and bugle corps, touring the during the summer, learning from world class educators in the marching arts. 2014-Present | Waco Symphony Orchestra • Regional orchestra in Central Texas, guest artists include Yo-Yo Ma, Branford Marsalis and more. Awards & LEADERSHIP 2018 | Presser Foundation Graduate Student Award • A grant given through the Presser Foundation to one graduate student totaling $10,000. The process involves a multi-step application and vetting process. Money was used to found an educational non-profit organization dedicated to developing resources for percussion education. 2017 | Artistic Excellence Scholarship • A merit-based scholarship based on entrance exams to the Peabody Institute. 2017 | Robert van Sice Percussion Scholarship • A merit-based scholarship based on entrance exams to the Peabody Institute. 2016 | So Percussion Summer Institute • Summer festival hosted by So Percussion at Princeton University. Festival includes multiple concerts throughout the Institute. Also includes guest masterclasses from artists such as Robert Honstein, Paul Lansky, Steven Mackey, Dan Truman, and Matmos. 2016 | Semper Pro Musica Chamber Music Competition Winner • Multi-round competition hosted at the Baylor University School of Music culminating in a winner’s recital. 2015-2017 | Dean’s Advisory Council Representative • Elected position with the Baylor School of Music based on peer-nomination, responsibilities include regular meetings with the Dean and hosting student convocations with the student population. 2014 | Chosen Vale International Percussion Seminar • Summer festival hosted by Doug Perkins. Festival includes multiple concerts. Featured the music of Pulitzer-prize winning John Luther Adams. Clinicians include Tim Feeney, Michael Burritt, and Symphony percussionist, Cynthia Yeh. 2014-2016 | Baylor University Drumline Captain • Leadership position within the Baylor Golden Wave Band, responsibilities include leading the drumline rehearsals and managing all logistical tasks.
