June 15 Syracuse W, 12-6 June 15 Syracuse W, 10-7 (10) Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tacked on another against Syracuse starter Cory Oswalt in the bottom of the second, with Kellin Deglan launching June 17 Syracuse W, 4-2 his first home run of the season. In the last seven days, the bullpen has combined for a 0.80 ERA (3 ER/30.2 IP), while allowing overall head-to-head: 8-1 just 21 hits, seven walks and 33 strikeouts. The current stretch has lowered SWB’s bullpen ERA to 2.98 on the season, the sixth-best in all of minor date location result league baseball, and second-best in Triple-A (Buffalo, 2.53). Before Thursday’s wire-to-wire win for the RailRiders, the team had erased multi-run deficits to defeat Syracuse in each of the last three games the Mets played here (Game 141 of the 2019 regular June 18 PNC Field 7:05 p.m. season and the first two games of this series). The Syracuse bullpen was particularly battered in those contests, pitching to the tune of a 19.17 June 19 PNC Field 6:05 p.m. ERA (25 R, 22 ER/10.1 IP), on 22 H, 11 BB, and 8 K. In the current Mets affiliation, Syracuse is just 2-10 at PNC Field, and has lost nine straight June 20 PNC Field 1:05 p.m. to SWB in Moosic. July 6 PNC Field 7:05 p.m. July 7 PNC Field 7:05 p.m. ALL ABOARD THE TREY TRAIN: RailRiders outfielder Trey Amburgey had his 18-game hitting streak snapped on Tuesday night, when he July 8 PNC Field 7:05 p.m. went 0-for-2 with a walk and two RBIs against the Mets. The 18-game streak is the longest for any one player in Triple-A East this season, and July 9 PNC Field 7:05 p.m. was actually a 20-game streak dating back to the final two games of the 2019 season. Despite the hit streak ending, Amburgey extended his July 10 PNC Field 6:05 p.m. on-base streak to an impressive 28 consecutive games dating back to August 26, 2019. He is hitting .374/.443/.677 (37-for-99) in that span. July 11 PNC Field 1:05 p.m. The SWB franchise record for longest on-base streak belongs to Brandon Drury, who reached base in 32 straight games in the 2018 season. Outfielder Greg Allen is riding a season-long 15-game on-base streak into play on Sunday afternoon, and infielderHoy Park July 29 NBT Bank Stadium 6:35 p.m. has reached base safely in 16 consecutive games. Allen has also played in two other games this season in which he did not record an official July 30 NBT Bank Stadium 6:35 p.m. plate appearance, therefore not jeopardizing his streak and spent time on the injured list in the middle of his streak. Park sports an absurd July 31 NBT Bank Stadium 6:35 p.m. .562 OBP during his streak, which has propelled him to the Triple-A East lead in AVG (.372), OBP (.519), SLG (.667), and OPS (1.186). The infielder August 1 NBT Bank Stadium 1:05 p.m. also ranks t-4th in Triple-A East in walks (23). 2019 results: SWB RailRiders, 14-6 FOR MY NEXT (DIE)TRICH: When play began on June 6, SWB infielder Derek Dietrich was hitting only .119/.316/.237, and had endured an all-time series: RailRiders Lead 316-216 0-for-27 skid to end the month of May. However, beginning with a 1-for-2 performance against Lehigh Valley that night, Dietrich has found success at the plate in his last night games, batting .304/.429/.478 (7-for-23) with 5 runs, 1 double, 1 HR, and 7 RBIs. The run of success at the railriders at a glance bat has improved his season batting line to .171/.346/.305, a 98-point leap in OPS. 2021 regular season: 26-11 COMEBACK KIDS: The RailRiders erased multi-run deficits four times en route to victory in their last nine games. On Tuesday at PNC Field, the RailRiders overcame an early 5-0 deficit to win 12-6 and Wednesday trailed 5-2 2021 hitting leaders: in the fifth before a 10-inning walk-off win. Overall, the RailRiders have 12 come-from-behind wins this season, with four of those comebacks AVG: Hoy Park .372 being completed in the seventh-inning or later. And they even drew 2.05M (22nd in MLB) to the ballpark formerly known as The Jake, the only time in this five year run they drew more than 1.6M or were higher than 28th in the majors. That is the reality they live with. One could argue that in terms of talent and human player development, the growth of young front office talent (6 current general managers and three club presidents), they are presently the best run organization in the sport, especially given their financial restraints.
