2011 Honor Books Revolver by (FIC SED) Mike was active in YALSA and served on the Best Books for Young Aduls Committee and the Margaret A. Edwards Nothing by Janne Teller (FIC TEL) Award Committee. He had a passion for books and read- ing. Finding the right book for the right student a tthe right 2010 Honor Books time was not just a slogan to Mike - he lived it. He also appeciated the authors who wrote books for young adults Charles & Emma : The Darwin’ leap of Faith by and demonstrated this by initiating an author-in-residence Deborah Heilgman (921 DAR) program at his high sschool. One of those authors was Chris Crutcher, who became a close friend. Printz Award is an award for Nick Lake Geraldine McCaughrean a book that exemplifies literary excellance in young adult literature. It is named for a FIC LAK FIC MCC Topeka, Kansas school librarian who was a 2013 2008 long time active member of the Young Adult (Realistic fiction) (Adventure fiction) Library Services Assocaition.
