Marion and Aaron Gural — Dear Friends, Aaron Gural was born in Manhattan on March 11, 1917. Howard E. Friedman is a Founding Partner of Lanx Management LLC, a hedge “fund of funds.” He was the Co-Founder, Publisher & CEO of Watermark Press, Inc. (1986-1998) until its sale to Cendent Corp. From 2006-2010 Howard served as President and then Chairman of the Board of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). He was also the first Orthodox president to serve in that prestigious position. In 2007 and in 2009, Washington Life Magazine listed Howard as one of the 100 most powerful people in Washington. From 2010-2012 he served as the President of the American Israel Educational Foundation, the charitable arm of AIPAC. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America and as Co-Chairman of the Board of Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, NJ. He is the immediate past Chair of the Board of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. He has served as President of the Baltimore Jewish Council, and as President of JTA - The Global News Service of the Jewish People. Howard serves on a number of boards, among them the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Touro College and University System, Talmudical Academy, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center. He is married to Judge Karen Chaya Friedman and has four children.

Director, Valley Stream Union Free School District 24 The Marion & Aaron Gural JCC Care and Enrichment Program offers a safe, supervised and fun recreational and social group setting for Kindergarten through sixth graders at the William L. Buck, Robert W. Carbonaro and Brooklyn Avenue Schools. Children participate in sports, arts and crafts, games, literacy programs and more. Daily snacks are provided in the afternoon, as well as quiet time for homework. A cold breakfast is offered in the morning program. Highly trained group leaders and counselors go through extensive training at the JCC. Our goal to provide a safe, supervised and fun environment for your children during before and after school hours is always first and foremost on our agenda. The Rina Shkolnik Kosher Food Pantry is a joint initiative of the Jewish Community Center of the Greater Five Towns and UJA-Federation of New York and is supported by the Five Towns Community Chest and the Inwood Charities Fund. The pantry assists individuals and families by providing nutritious non-perishable food packages consisting of tuna fish, pasta, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, breakfast cereal and much more. We also provide toiletries such as shampoo, deodorant, tooth brushes and toothpaste and diapers. There are many ways you can help. We accept kosher non-perishable food products, toiletries, cleaning products and paper goods. You may also make a monetary contribution. We are always seeking a team of dedicated volunteers to assist in sorting, organizing, packaging and delivering food to those in need who cannot come into the pantry. We are also looking for volunteers to organize a food drive at their school, , club or place of employment.
