Mantis is the most different because she's a fighter and acts more like at telepath than an empath. He takes Nova under his care, and uses a bit of his lifeglow to repress the virus. What matters are the actions of Wraith, Star-Lord and Nova. Enraged and saddened that he failed to save them, Rider angrily responds to the next call but he hits a super gravitational event, knocking him from the stargate, where he crashes right into Earth's moon. Meanwhile, the new Quasar seeks a mysterious savior - and Nova and Gamora are taken over by the Phalanx! However, the gestalt refused to listen to the infected Centurion, as he was on Ko- Rel's side. Besides that, the art was beautiful, the characters were fun Like Annihilation, it starts with 4 issue solo setups for all the players, and then they all join up spectacularly for a satisfying showdown. Also, kind of weird seeing the modern Guardians of the Galaxy before they took that name and having Starlord be just a really bland Han Solo. As she asks the voice how to find him, Moondragon interrupts, not believing her claims of a mysterious voice. The story is slightly formulaic, making for unlikely allies.
