Christmas Tree Antonio’s: Pizza, Chipping at Brannon Pasta, and Wings New Brochure Describes Gearhart Park Ken-Caryl History The Ken-Caryl Ranch Historical Society has just completed publication of a new brochure, replacing an earlier version, which provides a brief overview of the history of Ken-Caryl Ranch. The brochure is organized chronologically, beginning with mention of archaeological investigations that identi ed life in this area over 9,000 years ago. Other topics, in order, are Native Americans, the Bradford-Perley era, ownership of the ranch by John C. Sha er (who named the ranch Ken-Caryl), later ranching history, and how and when the housing development occurred. Interspersed throughout the brochure are historic and current photos. Free copies of the brochure are available at the reception desk in the Ranch House. More details about the rich history of the ranch may be accessed on the Ken-Caryl Ranch website at www.ken-carylranch.org under the Community & News tab.

Christmas Tree Sale The annual Christmas Tree Sale on Dec. 1 proved to be a popular event once again. Residents started lining up as early as 6:30 a.m., and there were approximately 60 people in line at 8 a.m. when the sale opened. The Ranger sta harvested trees from the open space to help with re mitigation and overall forest health. These trees were distributed at the annual Open Space Tree Sale at Dakota Lodge, and residents generously donated a total of $2,400 for approximately 350 trees. The donations will be used by the Rangers to help purchase open space supplies. Thank you to all the residents and volunteers for their support of this event over the past 13 years!

ISAIAH 9: 6-7 For to us a child is born, To us a Son is given, And the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over His kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.

TESTIMONIAL: Dave and Diana are tireless workers with great hearts. Dave went the extra mile by taking us to multiple houses until we found just the right home. Throughout the transaction, Dave spent hour after hour working on our deal, constantly communicating with us along the way. In our home sale and in our absence, Dave took it upon himself to shovel the snow from the driveway and make sure lights were off and doors were locked after showings. We appreciate all of the work Dave and Diana took to ensure a completed transaction. We love our new home! — Steve Graber
