This new prototype Walgreens store was completed just over one year ago, and has opened strong from all indications. Walgreens relocated and consolidated two established stores (Shelby & Ross and Riverdale & Holmes) to this superior location with a strong retail presence. In fact, the corner was so desirable that CVS/pharmacy and Walgreens were competing for the site. The lot size is somewhat smaller than typical, but because Walgreens wanted to be here, they put their stockroom upstairs on a mezzanine.
