One position until 30/04/2020 with a total anticipated remuneration 15.000,00€ Job Description (A) • Simulation and programming applications development for algorithmic representation of Embedded 5th generation Optical / Wireless Networks. • Projects Website maintenance and the social media accounts updates. The aforementioned tasks will be carried out within the following work packages of the project: WP5 Cooperative Radio-Optical Resource Allocation and Channel Mapping The new partner will collaborate with the members of the Photonic Systems and Networks Research Group who participating in the project under the supervision of the scientifically responsible and the technical guidance of an experienced scientific associate, member of the research team. Required Qualifications • The recruited researcher should have a Bachelor's degree in Informatics • The recruited researcher should have a Master's degree in Internet and Web Computing. • The recruited researcher should have good knowledge of the English language (B2 Level). • The recruited researcher should have at least 6 months experience as a programming developer. • The recruited researcher should have at least 6 months experience as technician or operator of computer equipment Additional Qualifications • Knowledge of technologies, simulation and network security. • Knowledge of general programming languages C++ and Java. • Knowledge of web development using the following tools / technologies: PHP, HTML, SQL, Zend Studio, Tortoise SVN, XML, XSL, HTML, Javascript, AJAX, Apache Tomcat, IntelliJ IDEA, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, IIS. (Knowledge is documented by relevant diploma thesis or relevant courses or by at least one relevant publication in a journal or conference presentation or a relevant certificate). One position until 30/08/2020 with a total anticipated remuneration 17.700,00€ Job Description (B) • Deploy the DSP-engine onto the FPGA board • Experimental demonstration of the FlexBox and RRH prototypes • Participation in conferences, workshops, meetings and reports for the publication of the project’s results. The aforementioned tasks will be carried out within the following work packages of the project: WP7 FlexBox and RRH Technology WP 8 Testbed Development and Final Validation The new partner will collaborate with the members of the Photonic Systems and Networks Research Group who participating in the project under the supervision of the scientifically responsible and the technical guidance of an experienced scientific associate, member of the research team. Required Qualifications • The recruited researcher should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Networks or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science or Informatics or Physics. • The recruited researcher should have a Master's degree in Electronic Circuits. • The recruited researcher should have good knowledge of the English language (B2 Level). Additional Qualifications • Experience from participating in European research projects. • Knowledge of MATLAB • Knowledge of LabVIEW software • Knowledge of the programming language VHDL • Knowledge of the programming language Verilog-A • Knowledge of energy consumption modeling in electronic circuits (Knowledge is documented by relevant diploma thesis or relevant courses or by at least one relevant publication in a journal or conference presentation or a relevant certificate). • Publications in scientific journals in the field of Communications. • Conference presentations in the field of Communications. Objections to the evaluation results should be submitted within a period of five working (5) days (counting from the next of the announcement date) to the following address: Research Committee AUTh (3rd September Str. - University Campus 546 36 THESSALONIKI – GREECE). EVALUATION PROCEDURE – OTHER CONDITIONS 1. From all the applications submitted, according to the above specifications, the one that best meets the project’s requirements will be selected and awarded a work contract. 2. Only applications submitted within the period mentioned above will be considered. In case of postal submission, the Research Committee of AUTh will not bear any responsibility for the submission time or the content of the files that will be sent. 3. Changes to the application (replacements, corrections or submission of additional documents) are not allowed after the expiration of the deadline. 4. For candidates, higher education degrees, pertaining to the required or additional qualifications that have been issued by foreign institutions, must be recognized by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (Hellenic NARIC). In addition, when a scale of grading/points awarded for a degree is foreseen in the call for expression of interest, it is required to submit a certificate of the equivalent degree grade given by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (NARIC). In the case that, all certificates for the recognition of a degree are provided but the certificate of the equivalent degree grade by NARIC is not submitted, the candidate's application will be accepted but no points for the degree will be awarded. 5. It should be noted that the invitation for awarding work contracts in the framework of the project is not a competitive tendering procedure, while the potential selection of counterparties should be interpreted as an acceptance of a proposal for hiring and not as “hiring”. The aforementioned process will be completed with the announcement of a ranking list, while those candidates selected will be personally notified. In case of a tie, the candidate whose application has a) the longest experience, b) the greatest bachelor’s degree mark, or c) the greatest master’s degree mark, will be selected. 6. Any submitted candidacy that does not meet the criteria of the call will not be examined any further and will be automatically rejected. 7. Throughout the duration of the project
