Parents / Guardian of pupils are requested to read and follow the instructions given below:-

1. PAYMENT OF FEES

Fees will be debited automatically from your designated Bank Account through National Automated Clearing House (NACH). Fees for the month of April 2020 will be debited from Bank Account on 15.04.2020.

2. SESSIONS

Morning Session : 6:40 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. Afternoon Session : 12:20 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Date of commencement of class will be notified later.

3. TRANSFER CERTIFICATE ON COMPLETION OF ACADEMIC SESSION

Those who wish to take a transfer certificate for their ward on completion of the Academic Session 2019-2020 must apply in advance on or before 06.04.2020 through email id [email protected] otherwise one full month’s notice must be given or fees paid before the pupil is withdrawn from the School. Transfer Certificate will not be issued till all dues are fully paid. A fee of Rs.100/- is to be paid for issuing a Transfer Certificate.

4. ISSUE OF TEXT BOOKS, EXERCISE BOOKS, ETC.

The date and venue for issue of Text Books, Exercise Books, etc. will be notified in due course. The cost of Text Books / Exercise Books, etc. will be debited from your Bank Account, unless indicated otherwise, along with the fees for the month of April 2020 through NACH. Please note that the amount will be rounded off to the nearest rupee. contd…..2.

5. ISSUE OF IDENTITY CARDS

ID Cards will be issued in class and shall be valid for the ensuing academic session 2020-2021.

In case of damage / loss of ID Cards, School authorities will have to be intimated and fresh ID card will be issued on payment of Rs.50/-. Therefore, Parents/Guardians are requested to advise their children / wards to take care of the ID Cards.

Before obtaining transfer certificate the ID card has to be surrendered.

In case of any difficulty or issue with the ID Card, the concerned pupil is to contact the Office Superintendent for advice.

Pupils must carry their Identity Cards while attending School. ID Cards will remain valid only if the pupil remains on the roll of the School.

The names of the pupils whose fees are outstanding for April 2020 will be struck off the rolls after 30.04.2020. Once the name of a pupil has been struck-off the rolls due to any reason, the pupil concerned may be re- admitted at the sole discretion of the School Authority, on payment of all outstanding dues.

SCHOOL UNIFORM FOR CLASS VII : SESSION 2020-2021

Parents / Guardian of pupils are requested to note the following information about the prescribed School uniform:-

For BOYS

Navy blue trousers and white shirts with blue stripes (half-sleeved for summer and full- sleeved for winter) with the School emblem on the pocket. Navy blue sweater (full / half) in winter. Prescribed plain white socks with navy blue bands and black shoes. Prescribed school belt with School logo on its clasp.

Baggy trousers, bell-bottoms, hipsters and jeans are not permitted. Trousers should have only one pair of pleats. Sleeves should not to be rolled up and buttons should not be left undone. Fancy belts, shoes and boots are not permitted. Hair should be trimmed short. Nails should be trimmed and kept clean. If found otherwise, hair and nails may be trimmed at School at the guardians’ cost.

Wearing the navy blue School tie is compulsory during the period 1st December to 15th February and at all School functions. House-badges are to be worn compulsorily on every working day.

For GIRLS

Navy blue divided skirts and white shirts with blue stripes (Short-sleeved in summer and full-sleeved in winter) with the School emblem on the pocket. Navy blue cardigans in winter. Prescribed plain white socks with navy blue bands and black shoes. Prescribed school belt with School logo on its clasp.

The skirts should be worn from the waist and must reach the knees. Only black clips or hair bands should be worn, if needed. Shoulder - length hair or longer hair must be neatly tied or plaited with black ribbons only. Girls must not wear bangles, rings or fancy ear- rings. Only a simple gold/silver ring/stud may be worn on the ears. Nose-studs must not be worn. Girls must not wear nail polish, kajal, eyeliners, mehendi or any kind of make- up. Nails should be trimmed and kept clean. If found otherwise, nails may be trimmed at School.

Wearing the navy blue School tie is compulsory from 1st December to 15th February and at all School functions. House-badges are to be worn compulsorily on every working day. Girls must wear white stockings during winter instead of socks.

YOGA / P.T. CLASSES

The School holds Yoga Classes for pupils of Classes VII & VIII. We believe that Yoga empowers our pupils with the mental strength to cope with the stress which plagues them constantly. It also inculcates in them a sense of discipline which increases their power of concentration.

Prescribed Navy Blue Slacks and ‘T’ Shirts in House Colour are to be worn by all pupils (Boys & Girls) while attending Physical Education Classes.

Guardians must ensure that their wards attend classes attired in proper school uniform. Pupils not in proper uniform may be barred from attending classes.

1. Fees will not be accepted in cash or cheque. It is collected only through National Automated Clearing House (NACH) by way of mandates already given by all guardians. Fees collected by NACH will include both compulsory and optional elements as applicable for each pupil.

2. The applicable amount will be automatically debited from the guardian’s account on the 15th of the first month of every bi-monthly payment cycle (or the next working day, if it is a holiday). It is the guardian’s responsibility to keep the bank account sufficiently funded. Please note that as a special gesture for the current academic year only, fees for the months of April and May 2020 will be collected on a monthly basis. Dates are mentioned in the fee schedule overleaf.

3. Those availing the School Bus facility in the academic session 2019-2020 and wanting to discontinue the same from the Session 2020-2021 are requested to send an email to sphs.southpoint.org.in by 31st March 2020. If no intimation is received within the mentioned date, the School will presume that the guardian is interested in continuing the facility and the bus fee shall be charged accordingly.

4. In case the NACH transaction fails for any reason whatsoever, guardians are required to make the payment at the School office by pay order / credit or debit card, along with applicable late fine and other charges, if any.

5. In case of failure of NACH instruction, a NACH failure fine of Rs.100/- will be charged if payment is made by the guardian by the end of the first month of the concerned bi-monthly payment cycle. For continuing default, a late fine of Rs.500/- will also be charged for default of every 15 days on a cumulative basis, till the dues are fully paid. It may be noted that the fee of any block is to be paid with late fee before the last day of that particular block, after which the name of the pupil will be struck off from the rolls and the pupil will not be allowed to attend classes. Results of pupils whose fees have not been paid will be withheld. For the year 2020-2021 as a special gesture, the School will waive off the late fine applicable for the period from 16th to the end of the first month of the bi- monthly fee collection block. Such payments will have to be made via bank draft / pay order /credit or debit card by the end of the first month to avoid any late fine.

6. At the end of every bi-monthly payment cycle, a receipt of the fees received under various heads during that particular block will be provided to the guardians through their wards.

7. In case of any change in the bank account through which a guardian wants to pay the fee, they need to provide a fresh mandate to the school which will need a processing time of at least 60 days.

8. One full calendar month’s notice must be given or fees paid before the pupil is withdrawn from the School. A Transfer Certificate will not be issued till all dues are fully paid. A fee of Rs.100/- is to be paid for issuing Transfer Certificate.

9. No deduction in fees payable will be made for holidays and/or broken periods. Fees once paid will not be refunded.

10. It has sometimes been noticed that though a guardian pays fees in advance, the pupil does not attend School at all or remains absent without leave for a prolonged period. This is not permissible and the School reserves the right to strike off the name of such pupils from the rolls. In any case, the name of a pupil, who is absent for a month without notice and prior permission, may be struck off the rolls.

11. Once the name of the pupil is struck off the rolls due to any reason, the pupil concerned may be re- admitted, if permitted, at the sole discretion of the School Authority, on payment of all outstanding dues.

12. The above rules are not exhaustive and in no way limit the right of the School to alter or introduce any other rule to regulate collection of fees and other charges.

13. A rebate of 10% on the tuition fees can be availed by guardians having more than one child studying in either South Point School or South Point High School for the youngest child, however such rebate will be available to them only for the academic session 2020-2021. For the subsequent academic sessions, they will have to pay the full amount of applicable fees. This rebate will only be available to such guardians who are not enjoying any other form of freeship from the School for any child. To avail such a rebate, parents have to make an application to the School in the prescribed format, which is available at www.southpoint.edu.in. Last date of receipt of the application at the School office is 30th April 2020. Effect of the rebate for the month of April 2020 will be given while collecting fees for the month of May 2020.
