In January 1967 voters in 11 of Weld County’s 12 public school districts approved the creation of the Community College District. January 2017 marked Aims' 50th anniversary. Aims Community College is a fully accredited two-year public college with multiple locations in northern Colorado. Greeley has been the home of the 185-acre main campus for more than 45 years.

Aims offers 200 degree and certificate programs with more than 4,000 daytime, evening, weekend and on-line course offerings each year. Aims courses are designed to achieve one of two goals: transfer as credit to a four-year university or certify students to step directly into a job role.

Whether you’re interested in fine-tuning your professional skills, learning the basics and taking general-ed classes before transferring to a four-year university, or getting the certificate you need to enter the job market right away, Aims can help you achieve your dreams.

The two cornerstone programs at Aims in Fort Lupton are Agricultural Sciences and Technology and Welding Technology. Additionally, Aims offers a Nurse Aide certificate program. Our two buildings at Aims Community College in Fort Lupton house everything a student needs to be completely successful without leaving campus. It began with the Prairie Building, which was recently renovated. In September 2013, the Platte Building was opened to provide more classroom, laboratory and workshop spaces. Students don’t have to worry about visiting a different campus because they can get information about financial aid, pick up books and meet with advisors in Fort Lupton. There is a student center, computer lab, library, tutoring and student testing center in the Learning Commons. The campus itself is located one and one-half miles east of downtown Fort Lupton.

Aims Community College’s west campus is located in historic downtown Loveland at 104 East 4th Street. The Loveland Campus, donated by the McKee Charitable Trust, opened in the fall of 1987. The Loveland Campus offers courses in various formats: face-to-face, semester-long courses, accelerated courses, online courses, and hybrid courses (combination online and face-to-face). The Aims Windsor Campus is a state-of-the-art training and educational facility located off I-25 and US-34.
