Dispatch Supervisor Report to: Deputy Operations Manager Accountable to: Operations Manager Rate: $17-$18 per hour Schedule/Hours: Four 10 hour shifts or Five 8 hour shifts. Weekends and evening availability required.

Bike Transit operates 4 bike share systems in the US: Philadelphia’s (1000 bikes / 100 stations); ’ Metro Bike Share (700 bikes, 70 stations); Las Vegas’ RTC Bike Share (180 bikes, 21 stations) and Oklahoma City Spokies (50 bikes, 8 stations). Bicycle Transit Systems is seeking experienced Dispatchers to supervise and direct hour-by-hour, day-to- day operations of bike share by executing dispatch responsibilities with maximum efficiency, safety, and effectiveness. This is a leadership position within the bike share operation that is responsible for the support, workflow direction and supervision of driver personnel, on street bike checking, and station technician team. Dispatch Supervisors are tasked with making critical decisions that will optimize the functionality of the system in line with overall system goals.

Role & Responsibilities: ● Evaluate system needs and available resources such as equipment, staff, traffic and usage patterns to efficiently implement Driver assignments. ● Use software tools such as Geotab, Waze, Bcycle Admin, to ensure timely and productive workflows. ● Supervise Drivers to ensure efficiency and safety are optimized; participate in Driver feedback and performance reviews. ● Direct balancing team to safely distribute and collect bicycles; inspect and ensure bike stations are safe, clean, and operating properly; and interact with bike share customers and the public in a friendly and professional manner. ● Direct Operations staff in the field to take breaks and lunch in coordination with workflow. ● Facilitate day-to-day and shift-to-shift communication across and within departments. ● Develop, revise and follow internal operational standard operating procedures (SOP’s); direct Drivers and other Operations staff to implement SOP’s. ● Evaluate problematic conditions that affect service levels and react accordingly to resolve issues. ● Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Service Representatives to ensure effective customer Experience Innovation Reliability bicycletransit.com

communication regarding system issues. ● Execute emergency contingency plans (i.e. system outage, snow emergency, vehicle incident) when necessary; follow all SOP’s and plans accurately. ● Operate company vehicles, as needed; fill driving shifts when necessary. ● Answer overflow customer services calls if needed.

Qualifications ● Level-headed, analytical, problem solving skills that are system orientated. Demonstrated effectiveness in the development of and follow through on SOP’s. ● Data-Driven, demonstrated professional experienced in Excel and ability to optimize information from various software platforms. ● Associate’s Degree or relevant experience; prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent job-related experience. ● Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (must pass a motor vehicle record check); comfortable driving, stopping and working in busy outdoor urban environments. ● Previous logistics experience is required, transit logistics a plus. ● Strong leadership, communications and interpersonal skills; ability to a team to perform effectively, efficiently, safely while finding joy and meaning in the work. ● Must be a team player with a positive attitude ● Knowledge of Philadelphia streets and geography. ● Adaptability - the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events ● Dependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance ● Flexible to work various shifts, as assigned, night and weekend work required ● May require bending, stooping, lifting up to 60 pounds ● Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
