17 BLENDED LEARNING With the fast pace of technological development in the world, we believe our students need to use technology in and beyond the classroom. A blended learning approach is a combination of face-to-face interaction complemented with computer-based activities during lectures leading to an enhanced visual and audio learning experience. Using this approach, students are provided with multimedia-rich, interactive content on demand, any time of the day, seven days a week. At Concordia, we feel that our Blended Learning Model is essential for complete learning. Some other important aspects of the Blended Learning Model are:

• Full provision of module-related documents in electronic format, including lesson videos • Highly interactive and supportive classroom sessions • Opportunities for students to learn collaboratively in groups • Regular formative assessment with feedback • Personal development planning

With this advanced interactive approach we enable our students to:

• Gain access to all learning content as lessons progress • Measure their progress against learning outcomes and receive supportive feedback • Participate in interactive learning opportunities during face-to-face sessions • Engage in collaborative learning which goes beyond classroom discussions • Create supportive learning networks accessible at any time or place • Have a better understanding of their progress in order to become more efficient and successful learners

18 LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

19 DEBATING COMPETITIONS

Debates and discussions are very important to groom the personalities of students, train them how to put forward their point of view and arguments. It also allows students to exchange their ideas and opinions openly and con dently while respecting each other’s perspectives. Participation in debates improves presentation skills of students as well as articulates their thoughts in the right direction. The debating competitions also play essential role in the development of exibility, tolerance and resilience among students. Realizing these facts Concordia Colleges organizes Debating Competitions every year. These competitions give an opportunity to our students to interact with their fellows and teachers belonging to dierent areas of the country and broaden their horizons of knowledge.

20 TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAMME

Enhancing and upgrading capabilities and knowledge of the teachers is required to improve the standard of education in any institution. Keeping this in view, Concordia colleges arrange teachers training every year. The training is arranged by the academic department at the Head Oce and the trainers from reputed institutions like Government College and The Punjab University come to train our teachers. The training consists of general teaching methodologies, subject speci c training and board paper setting and paper marking techniques. This enables our teachers to perform well in the classroom and enable the students to prepare for the board examinations.

The teachers participating in the training workshops are awarded with certi cates.

21 TAKING PARENTS ON BOARD

In order to ensure good academic results, institutions should keep all channels of communication and coordination open to all stake holders. With this aim in mind, Concordia colleges arrange Parent Teacher Meetings after each Monthly Test and share the result of students with their Parents. These meetings have proved to be very useful because they keep parents updated about their child’s progress on regular basis. In the light of mutual feedback the parents get a chance to make the required efforts to help their child in gaining best results in BISE examinations.
