Welcome to Madrid

The Atlético de Madrid stadium is located in one of the most important areas of expansion in Madrid in the north-east of the city, alongside the M-40 and close to the airport, between the Canillejas and Las Rosas neighbourhoods. Discover it by visiting the Atleti Territory!

With a capacity of around 68,000 spectators, the Wanda Metropolitano is designed in accordance with the highest comfort, safety and visibility standards. The stadium will be the stage for Atlético de Madrid’s first team matches and will be a possibility for hosting national and European finals. On 1 June it will be hosting the Champions League final. After the Champions final, the UEFA classified it as an Elite Stadium.

Major international concerts have also been held there, such as those by Alejandro Sanz or Ed Sheeran, among others.

ATLETI TERRITORY

Visitors to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium will be able to visit this new meeting place, where they can delve into the history of the club and its values through diverse leisure and entertainment activities, with fun interactive and immersive experiences.

Activities are grouped into three categories:

We Are History: It consists of the Tour of the interior of the stadium (in which different areas will be visited, such as the changing rooms, the benches, the press room or the mixed area, where the manager and the players appear after each match, as well as going out to the pitch via the tunnel used by the players) and to the new 1,400 square metre Atlético de Madrid Museum, which reviews the club’s centenary history since it was founded in 1903 to the present day in a fun and interactive way. The Vicente Calderón stadium, which has now disappeared, will also be present thanks to a virtual reality screening and the possibility of sitting on an original chair from its bench. During the visit, you will be able to see the collection of the most representative shirts in the club’s history, from classics to the most innovative ones, as well as more than 400 relevant objects that have marked Atlético de Madrid’s path in its 117 years of life, and, of course, all of the trophies that have been won and many other secrets. Visitors will also become the stars with the possibility of challenging some of the first team players in some fun interactive games in which they will be able to show off their skills against their idols.

We Are Family: fans will have the chance to celebrate birthdays for children and adults alike at the Wanda Metropolitano, as well as other events and family celebrations.

We Are Passion: the stadium will host other experiences related not only to football but also to music, other sports and leisure and entertainment in general.

Furthermore, a Historic Tour is also available, which will visit all the corners of the stadium, inside and outside. Guided by an expert in the club’s history, the meaning of the different symbols that surround the stadium will be uncovered: Paseo de Leyendas, the red and white flag, the statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree or the Hispano Aviación HA-200D aircraft. The route is rounded off with the usual tour of the interior of the stadium.

Tickets can be purchased on-line or at the ticket office in the Wanda Metropolitano commercial street, located next to the official store. On-line purchases will have an exclusive reduced price.

Due to the current health situation, use of face masks is compulsory in order to enter the stadium, where there are hand sanitizer dispensers at the entrance door and in different areas along the route in accordance with the indications of the health authorities.
