Housing Selection Process and Deadlines

Fall Term 2014 Spring Term 2015 Housing Services

Dear Resident Student, Panther It is time to begin the housing application process for the 2014–15 school year. Every resident student must process a housing application in order Central to be eligible for the next year’s housing selection process. This appli- cation, along with a $325 housing deposit, is to be completed online by February 1, 2014. Please take the time to read and understand this information completely. If you have any questions regarding this process, please visit or call Panther Central as soon as possible. Panther Central is located in the main lobby of and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The telephone number is 412-648-1100.

You have received an e-mail with your personalized Housing Information that indicates whether or not you have a housing guarantee and indicates your randomly generated lottery number for guaranteed students. For those who will be selecting/choosing a roommate, you will need to know your roommate’s seven-digit student identification number, also known as the PeopleSoft number, as well as his or her University user name and meal plan choice for next year.

The room selection process is conducted online. The room selection dates for guaranteed juniors-to-be are March 4, 5, and 6, 2014. The room selec- tion dates for guaranteed sophomores-to-be are March 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2014. Please refer to pages 15 and 16 in this book for the date and time you will need to log on to our Web site and submit a request for a specific room. Your assigned date and time is the earliest you may access the selection site. The online selection program will remain accessible through the end of the day on March 28, 2014, for all students who did not select an assignment on their appropriate selection day. Changes to your selection can be made up to the end of business on March 28, 2014. Should you make an error or change your room preference after March 28, 2014, you may come to Panther Central to request a change to your selection. Any changes made will be based upon room availability at the time of the change.
