Good Afternoon Dylan,

I am contacting you as follow up to the Strategic Planning response that was sent to you by my colleague Emma Brook on the 13th November regarding the above application; in particular the education contributions that would be sought to mitigate the impact of the development. Following discussions with my colleagues I can confirm the following:

Primary

The development is located in the Harworth Primary Planning Area and would generate 5 additional places. As can be seen in the table below; there is currently insufficient capacity to accommodate the additional pupils generated. As a result, the County Council would seek a primary school contribution of £87,130 (5 places x £17,426 per place) which would be used towards the expansion of Serlby Park .

Secondary

The proposed housing development is located within the catchment of Serlby Park Academy and would generate 4 additional places. As the primary bulge moves through to the secondary phase there is now a requirement in all of to increase secondary education provision. The delivery of secondary education provision within Harworth will be via the District Councils Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

I would be grateful if the above comments could be considered as an appendix to Emma’s response.

If you have any queries regarding the above comments do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

Andrew
